Steve "Gnome" Annabel Birthday Video. In 2005 Jane Annabel organized the Old Rally Drivers Never Die Party at Penrith Panthers in Western Sydney. This event also doubled as Steve Annabel's surprise 50th Birthday, so a video was put together to announce the fact to the 250 people in attendance and surprise Steve. This is the video which has Steve or Gnome to his friends in all sorts of rally moments and in many different rally cars. Steve also had many successful rallies winning the Batemans Bay State Round in 1990 so please enjoy this birthday tribute to a man that always has a go in no matter what car he is competing in.

Huge crash in a 73 Mach 1 Mustang in Targa Tasmania 2012
This is the entire stage and huge crash we had on TS10 Elephant Saddle in Targa Tasmania 2012. We had MANY requests for a slow motion replay of the in-car footage so here it is. You have to wait for the end, but it's probably worth it. We have been asked many times what caused the accident, and it's a typical concoction of many factors. But ultimately it was wrong tire selection. We used to run Bridgestone RE55, then they stopped making them. They produced the RE11 which we were told were an improvement and a direct replacement. Unfortunately we could not get any info about them except for what we were told by our supplier. But when the info came out, they are a hot track day tire, not to be used in cold or wet. When I downshifted, the rear lost traction but gave no feedback at all - no shudder, no squeal, etc. and then when the road camberchanged, or the surface changed, or I adjusted the wheel ... the rear was already in a spin. The main thing is that both Dad (navigator) and I are OK, and no other crews were involved. The car shell is badly damaged, but the running gear is OK. We have a new shell on its way, and we will start the rebuilding process and get Junior back on the road. It might take a year, it might take two years. It might take 10 years, but Junior will be back on the road. So enjoy the footage, excuse the damage to a beautiful car, and please leave nice comments.





RX3 13B PP 09 Targa Tasmania Mount Claude "chase" !!
At the start of the stage the Navigator of the rally spec Celica in front said "my Driver hates Rotaries but I love em, I bet you a beer you cant catch us on this stage..." With such high stakes, it was on !! 30 seconds head start, 9.86km and got him on the final straight where we hit approx 215km/h as we passed him! 10,000rpm with the 13B PP Enjoy, we did!
