The owner of this 1969 Judge chose to install a Pypes 3" headerback system with the optional X-change crossover. The X-change allows him to easily switch from full Exhaust when he's cruising to after-X cutouts when he's racing. Pypes Racepro mefflers were also chosen for their great flow rating.

69 GTO Judge " Sounds Nasty " 4 Speed 2 1/2" Pypes Exhaust
1969 GTO Judge 1st. Cold start after being fully restored. The idle is a
little high. It's a real PHS documented 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge. With a WS
Ram Air III 400 CID engine, 4 Speed tranny. Running 3 tube hedman headers
with a 2 1/2" Pypes with X crossover Exhaust system. I added lots of options
including: Tilt, 8-Track, dual remote mirrors, maplight, Tinted windows,
hideaway headlights, Exhaust tips, NOS
Hurst emblem, Lojack, door edge guards, quick ratio power steering. The
frame was powdercoated along with the control arms sway bar etc. The car
had a rare Ram Air 4 Distributer that gives it a nice loopy sound along
with a nasty cam.
70 Double Blown GTO
My 1970 GTO with two blowers. It's 474ci Pontiac engine with a 8-71 blower
on top of a 6-71 blower. This is from the last day of being double blown.
I'm going to one single 8-71 blower and going racing. The front clip was
removed to make it easier to work on. The reason for the double blowers was
not as a power enhancement like many ASSume. I stacked the blowers to have
a car that stood out in the crowd. Most Pro Street cars were starting to
blend together. If you seen one, you had seen them all. That wasn't the
case with this GTO. Al someone had to say was "The double blower GTO" and
people knew which car. I was told it couldn't be done, so I attempted it
and it worked. It stayed that way for almost 2 years. I knew a twin turbo setup would make more HP. I knew I could
have run a 14-71 blower and made more power. That wasn't the point. I
wanted to be different than the other cars in the parking lot, I did that
now it's time to ove on. For all those people who don't understand why,
I'm not going to try and explain it to you anymore. Get over it. I didn't
expect EVERYONE to love it. But you won't forget it.
Chevelle movie for pypes 12-08.wmv
'70 chevelle with 555 ci big block. 11:1 pump gas engine with a big solid
roller, AFR 335's, vic jr., pro-systems HP1000 carb, 2" headers, 3"
collectors, full 3" duals with x pipe running Pypes Race Pro mufflers.
Electric cutouts are installed. Car has a TKO600 trans and 12 bolt rear
end in this video. GForce GF5R and Ford 9" are going in this winter. Engine
made 792hp/701tq at the flywheel on a superflow engine Dyno. Chassis Dyno showed 618rwhp AT 5500 ONLY
- data did not log up to the 6800 it was run to due to a Dyno error. Based on the 70hp
increase from 5500 to 6800 rpm on the engine Dyno (horsepower peaks at
6800rpm), we are guessing we have around 670-690hp at the wheels. Car will
be back on the Dyno in
the spring. Engine built by Mike Lewis of Lewis Racing Engines,
