FJ Cruiser, Sequoia, and Hummer H3 Off-Road on Rattlesnake Trail
After school had finished this year, on my second to last day in Utah
before moving back to Colorado, I decided to go hit up Rattlesnake out at 5
Mile Pass one last time and I was able to get the new president of the UVU
Off-Road Adventure Club to come (Spencer in his Hummer H3) and then my
uncle decided to come a well (Adam in the Sequoia). We had a pretty good
time but it became obvious that having a locker makes life a ton easier. We
thought the Sequoia had one but real quick we realized on Rattlesnake that
this was not the case, so in a lot of situations, as you'll see, he had to
bump it or just gas it. And I think for the Sequoia, having that V8 on the
trail was a big help for getting it through.

Hummer has better tires more traction then the Nissan with Road tires
Hummer H2, H3 & H3T vs Jeep JK at Beasley Knob
3 Hummers (H2, H3, & H3T) and a Jeep JK hit 93C at Beasley Knob. At the
first big hill climb 5:00, the H3s both spun their tires until winching and
towing themselves out. There was a stock Nissan Pathfinder that made a
valiant effort, and made it just as far as the H3s before getting winched.
The H2 made it through, but I wasn't there to see it - had to leave the
park for a bit to get the wife. I filmed myself going up the same section,
and the jeep did not spin a tire at all. You can jump to 11:47 to see the
JK hit it.
IMO the H3s failed due to a lack of articulation - no flex whatsoever in
the front. One had lockers, the other only limited slip, but it didn't
make much of a difference.

2010 Hummer H3T Alpha Start Up, Engine, and In Depth Tour
In this video I give a full in depth tour of a 2010 Hummer H3T. I was
impressed at the overall design of the vehicle and it much nicer in person
than I originally thought. plus, the addition of the V8 makes it all that
much more awesome. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and
exterior of this sport utility while showing details, over viewing of
features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show
the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under
acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this truck designed to give others
a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

Born from a military background, it's not surprising to discover that
go-anywhere attitude backing up the Hummer brand. This mindset was best
exemplified by the late Hummer H1
Realizing that not everyone would want the civilian equivalent of a Humvee,
the company added the Hummer H2, available as an SUV and as a pickup dubbed
the H2 SUT (sport utility truck). Still plenty capable, the H2 shares its
platform with the Chevrolet Silverado, whereas the most recent product to
debut, the Hummer H3 and H3T (the pickup truck version), is based on the
Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon.
Hummer was created as a civilian version of the Humvee (HMMWV, High
Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle), a military vehicle developed by AM
General during the 1980s. The first model, simply called the Hummer, was
launched by AM General in 1992, seven years before General Motors took
ownership of the company. After that change, the Hummer was renamed the
Hummer H1 and GM worked on expanding the brand's line up and broadening
exposure to the mainstream market.
The results of those efforts could be seen in the Hummer H2, a rugged
off-road SUV that offered attitude and sheer mass not found in many
competing vehicles. A pickup version of that utility vehicle, dubbed the
Hummer H2 SUT, followed. By 2006, the Hummer H1 had reached the end of its
line, but the resulting void made room for the Chevy Colorado-based Hummer
H3, available with a five-cylinder engine in standard guise or as the
V8-powered Hummer H3 Alpha. A pickup version, the Hummer H3T, is also
available, as is the more luxurious Hummer H3x.
