The 2nd annual Off Road Evolution JK Experience presented by Falken Tire was a great success! A weeklong off-road event exclusively for Jeep® Wrangler JK's.
This year the participants tackled trails in Wyoming, Montana and Idaho. The JK's encountered various levels of terrain from switch back mountain climbs, rock obstacles, rain, snow, mud and sand. All participants were required to be self sufficient and prepared for anything, even a night or two of camping in the rain.
Thanks again to all our sponsors who made this event possible for the participants and the crew, the 2nd annual JK Experience will not soon be forgotten.
The JKX DVD will be available for sale this December. Until then, visit our website www.jk-experience.com and our facebook page to see photos of the 2010 JK Experience and see what's in the works for the 2011 JK Experience.
Climb - Pikes Peak Hill Climb with a Monster
Ride on the bumper of a screaming 910hp, Twin-turbo, All-wheel Drive, 150 mph Suzuki SX4 as it races up one of the world's most dangerous hills. An attempt by the "Monster" to break his own record of 10:01:41...
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (June 29, 2010) -- For the fifth consecutive time, Nobuhiro "Monster" Tajima combined experience, skill and Falken Tires to claim overall victory in the 88th running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
Although he did not set a new Pikes Peak record, one day before his 60th birthday, Tajima continues to hold the current overall record for reaching the peak, beating hill climb veterans Paul Dallenbach and Rhys Millen in the Unlimited Class. He drove his new 910-hp Monster Sport Suzuki SX4 Hill Climb Special on Falken WildPeak A/T tires, the powerful new line of all-terrain, all-season tires Falken launched this past April.
Following Exhaustive tests in a Japanese wind tunnel facility, Monster's 2010 Pikes Peak race car underwent extensive aerodynamic changes to better adapt to the modified road surface on the race to the clouds, which assumed a smoother tarmac and less gravel than last year. Thinning air ascending the mountain robs most motors of their power by 30 or more percent, but the increase in horsepower over last year's race car helped push the driver forward.
2010 Tierra Del Sol 4x4 with Falken Tire
Last weekend marked the 48th annual Tierra Del Sol Desert Safari in Ocotillo Wells, CA, and Falken Tires first year as an event sponsor and supporter. Despite forecasts of inclement weather, enthusiasts in RVs and Off Road vehicles were out in full force. Falken Tire was present with a compound complete with their trademark blue and teal scalloped Falken Motorsports rig as well as full vendor participation and R/C race track setup from HPI Racing.
Although there were high gusts early in the week, the winds died down Thursday allowing for Falken staff and enthusiasts alike to truly appreciate the terrain and vehicles. Falken gave its SEMA project Jeep JK a workout, equipped with Wildpeak A/T tires. Over the course of 4 days, the Falken Tire JK and Wildpeak A/T tires were put to the test, enduring all types of conditions from hard packed dirt to crumbling sand - these tires were able to conquer it all!
The Wildpeak A/T is currently available in 27 sizes ranging from 15-20 rim diameters and up to 33 tall. An additional 17 LOD (Large Overall Diameter) sizes up to 37 tall will launch in the fourth quarter of 2010. The Wildpeak A/T features a durable 3 ply sidewall (most sizes), allowing enthusiasts to venture wherever they desire, both on and off road.
Friday night activities featured an open invitation bonanza at the Falken Tire compound, with complimentary Carne Asada tacos and refreshments. Enthusiasts and off-road industry experts joined Team Falken crew members for the evening cook-out as a nice way to end the week by the campfire. Saturday, the Tierra Del Sol staff held their annual raffle in which Falken contributed one set of Wildpeak A/T tires, one set of High Country tires, and 5 HPI R/C Crawler King trucks. With over 8,000 people in attendance, Tierra Del Sol was an overwhelming success for Falken and the launch of the new Wildpeak A/T product line and events campaign.
Next stop for the Wildpeak A/T tour: Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah!

KEEP IT TIGHT : The JK-Experience Colorado - Carnage Canyon [Part 2 of 4]
Come visit us at: http://www.WAYALIFE.com
Day 2 of the JK-Experience Rocky Mountain Run would take us south toward the town of Buena Vista, Colorado, and to the trail that a majority in our group would run for the day, Chinaman Gulch. At the trailhead, the option of running the infamous Carnage Canyon BV trail was also given to those willing to risk substantial damage to their rigs and, of the 22 JK's we had, 4 would choose to join EVO 1 in taking on the carnage including, Project-JK's, Moby Dick! Episode 2 highlights our run up this short, "nasty ass" trail as Mel liked to call it, and then follows us as we made a mad dash east with the hopes of being able to climb to the top of Pikes Peak before they closed.
For one week during the month of September, 22 Jeep JK Wranglers from around the country and from as far as Canada, gathered in the state of Colorado to traverse almost 1,000 miles though the breathtaking Rocky's, explore famous historic mining towns and, take on some of the most challenging off-road trails that can be found anywhere. This is the Off Road Evolution JK Experience Rocky Mountain Run, presented by Falken Tire, and this is the story of the Jeepers who came looking for an adventure and found what it means to "KEEP IT TIGHT".

RUBICON : A Legendary Jeep Trail & Off-Road Adventure - Part 2 of 3
Come visit us at: http://www.WAYALIFE.com
Originally made as a single half hour video, RUBICON : A Legendary Jeep Trail & Off-Road Adventure was broken down into a 3 part series, each approximately 10 minutes long and done so that it could be broadcasted on YouTube. In episode 2, we pick-up the pieces of Inyo-JK's Jeep, brush off the dust and continue our trek to Rubicon Springs. Along the way, we pass by the Soup Bowl, take in the impressive views across Spider Lake, descend the off camber granite slabs, tackle the rock obstacles at Buck Island Lake, negotiate our way down the very challenging Big Sluice, add a couple of stock Canadian Jeeps to our group, cross the historic Rubicon Bridge and then, just as we we pull into camp, we hear a call coming in over the CB... it's Trail Bud.
Crossing through the El Dorado National Forest up in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the Rubicon Trail is truly one of the most beautiful ones I've been on, bar none. Of course, its unrelenting 22 miles of boulders that need to be crawled, steep ledges that need to be climbed, narrow trees that need to be squeezed between, deep muddy water crossings that need to be forded and tippy off camber terrain that needs to be carefully negotiated is ultimately what makes the Rubicon Trail so legendary and famous around the world.

Jeep JK WFTW Event @ River Rock ORV Park
Wheelers For The Wounded event held at River Rock ORV Park in Milledgeville GA 9/26-9/27/09
We drove from Miami straight through 13 hours and wheeled for a few hours on Saturday before I had to retreat to the hotel to pass out from Exhaustion. Everyone else camped at River Rock.
It Stormed heavily through the night and when we got to River rock Sunday morning every one had either left or was in the process of leaving since the storms had made a rough night for them.
We stayed and had the whole park to ourselves..the weather cleared and was absolutely beautiful.
