Flat shifting xr6 turbo
flat shifting in an xr6 turbo using the
launch control and spark cut revlimiter.
For those that dont know what going on here, i imported a 2 stage spark cut
rev limiter from the USA and fitted to the "coil on plug" ignition in the
xr6t. The limit can be set at whatever rpm you like, i use the forst stage
for launch control and the second stage to limit rpm between shifts. The
advantage in using this system, is that the throttle body stays open, and
the injectors keep flowing fuel whilst the limiter is dropping the spark.
The result, is that the unburnt fuel keeps the turbo spooled, and the open throttle body prevents
the accumulated Boost from dumping
out the BOV. Both of the above are prevented by the factory limiter as it
closes throttle and turns off injectors when the limit is hit.

3.5" Exhaust, 60lb injectors, a monza
Cooler, Nizpro Valve Springs and a Custom tune from CV in Sydney. Ir has
pulled a best of 329.8rwkw/442rwhp

a hell of a lot done to it just making 242rwkw but still gets up n boogies!
Before you all start pointing it out yes i know 2 of my guages dont work
ive been too lazy to connect them up lol
