1967 Pontiac Firebird 20 Year Cold Start

We work on starting my new 67 Firebird after it has been sitting for 20 years untouched in Wasilla, Alaska. The tags expired in 1989. It has the original Overhead Cam Inline Six Engine. Before starting it we put oil down the cylinders, primed the oil system, changed the oil and replaced the Cap, Rotor, Plugs, and Points. A Complete restoration is planned for the immediate future.

Starting my '87 Chevy after 3 Years. Hearing that old Detroit roar to life was like talking to a long-lost friend. Now I need to find an El Camino to stuff this boat anchor into! Thanks to 1997cr80r for the suggestion http://www.youtube.com/user/1997cr80r

1969 Camaro RS/SS First Start up in 28 Years
Working on getting my dads new project car, a 69 Camaro started after sitting for 28 years untouched and uncovered in an Anchorage, Alaska back yard. It was originally a big block/4speed car but was swapped to a 327 in the early 80's. The engine was covered in leafs, moss and debris and had no air cleaner, headers or half the spark plugs when we got it. The car has been parked since 1984, watch to see if we get it going! Don't pay any attention to the Z28 badges someone added those long ago and it was originally Daytona Yellow not white. More details coming soon.... 8V53T Detroit Diesel first start
Detroit Diesel 8V53T, (turbo just removed for test run) this is literally the first starting attempt after bringing it home, it had sat for years. Not so many 8V53 Detroits were made, and very few turbocharged ones, This is one of about four I know of.
