The Big Rambler/AMC/Jeep Show, Kenosha, WI, 2007
On Saturday, July 28, 2007, four days after my leg cast came off, I was up
shooting video at the Rambler/AMC/Jeep show in Kenosha, WI, the largest
such show in the country.
Felt real good to be back on two legs again.
And before you start writing in with blood in your eyes, yes, I know the
Alliance pictured isn't an '83; convertibles didn't come out till a few
years later. This one was the only one at the show. Encores, Medallions,
Sportwagons and Premiers weren't there at all. You owners of '83 to '88
Renault cars should be better represented at next year's show; they were as
much a part of the AMC story as the Rambler and the Jeep.

My Grand National Powered 1968 AMC Rambler American
This is my 1968 American Motors Rambler powered by a 1987 turbo Buick Grand National engine. I will try to
get some better videos of it running around but I was testing some effects
in my software and thought I would throw this together. This is a car only
a mother could love.... : )

Muscle Car Of The Week Video #71: 1969 Hurst SC/Rambler
http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com - The American Motors Corporation was
known for building reliable, lower-priced cars targeted towards families
and those seeking basic transportation. But when you combine a
lightweight economy car with a potent V8, you have the recipe for an
outstanding performer. This was the case with the 1969 Hurst SC/Rambler,
a car built in conjunction with Hurst Performance to be a drag strip terror
and look cool doing it! The SC/Rambler boasted a 315 HP 390 cube V8, a
T10 4-speed, 3.54:1 gears, and other performance tricks like a complete
lack of options, subframe connectors, rolled fender lips, staggered shocks,
and Thrush mufflers. This little Super Car rocked and advertised 14.2 in
the quarter @ 100+ mph, all for less than $3000.00. Quite a package.
