1968 Charger / 1969 Daytona - /BIG MUSCLE Garage
The 1968 Dodge Charger and the 1969 Dodge Daytona. Two cars based off the
same platform with very different personalities. These two old sleds are
different though, 'cause well, they belong to me (your host) and they're
the reason that BIG MUSCLE exists today. These are not show ponies,
cruisers or weekend projects, but two warhorses that have been run in some
of the toughest long distance and performance events in the United States.
Built for reliability, power and performance, they are not technological
marvels, but old school resto-mods that have been updated for one reason
and one reason only - to put smiles on the faces of all those who see them.
"Big Time" '69 Charger
We are all finished with the 69 Charger build. We had to take this one out
to see how she ran before we sent her home.
69 Charger fun

1969 Dodge Charger (Full Restoration)
Full restoration of my 1969 Dodge charger. For everyone who has been
asking, I put a 68' grille on it because it looks better. When I got it, it
was a basket case. My father rode in this car when he was in high school.
There is over $30,000 into this car. Hopefully a 426 Hemi will be in this
car before I die. It has a stock 440 in it now. It is sitting on Cragar SS
deep dish wheels. Custom daytona interior. Everything under the car is
spotless. Hope you enjoy! Rate and comment if you liked it!
General Lee 69 Charger with Flowmaster 40's Exhaust system: 2.5" dual with
Flowmaster 40's is way to loud for me! Resonates badly from interior and is
loud enough to anger the neighbors just getting out of the driveway. I've
switched to Flowmaster 50 SUV and will post results here soon. Still sounds
great but interior sound level is much improved!
69 Charger R/T LED Tail Lights vs. Stock
Wanted to upgrade the stock incandescent lighting to LEDs. I bought the
Bayonet style thinking they would do the job but soon found out they didnt
produce "forward lighting effect". You want the light to be emitted towards
other drivers, not bouncing around your housing. So I purchased SMD LEDs. I
think SMDs are a great value for their money and then some. Each PCB has an
array of 36 LEDs in a 6x6 formation. I made mine in a rectangular formation
6 x 12. The light output is astounding. There is a section where the bulb,
LED Bayonet, and LED PCB are all lit on their own to you the luminescence.
