Dodge Viper V10 in a Ford Maverick Build Video 2 - New Work Space / Inspection and Plans

http://fennelrestorations.com/web-content/index_new.html http://www.smithbrosrestorations.com/ This is the second video entry for the build up of the Viper Powered FORDGE Maverick. The first was when I brought the car home from storage and for many reasons never got farther on it. Then my friend and mentor Mike Fennel offered me a spot in his shop and I jumped at the opportunity. With the help of my good friend Jamey Smith, who has built and restored dozens of cars (including several 69 Dodge Charger General Lees), we loaded the Maverick on a trailer and cleared a spot for it at Mikes. I took this chance to have the two of them look over the car as it sits to see if there is anything they would change before we move forward. Turns out, the car is in pretty good shape! Now it's time to chase down some very important parts and see if we can get the thing started. My budget has been completely demolished over the last few years with other projects and just surviving so I'm going to have to be very creative on funding. This video series will try to keep fans of the build up do date with the status and try to stir up interest for any sponsors that might want to help. I would like to give a huge thank you to http://flowmastermufflers.com/ for already kicking in the tubing and mufflers for this project. Every bit helps and this thing is going to sound awesome. Thanks for watching and don't hesitate to comment or send me advice! Jason Lewis

Dodge Viper V10 in a Ford Maverick Build Video 3 - Engine Removal / Oil Pan Issues
http://fennelrestorations.com/web-content/index_new.html This is video blog three of the Viper powered Maverick build up. Today I was able to pull the engine and transmission out of the car so the next phase of modifications could be made. First, because the engine is mounted so low in the vehicle to fit under the stock hood...the oil pan is going to need fairly serious modification to give a practical amount of ground clearance. Next, I wanted to turn the engine upside down to dump the dog food that a rat had stashed in the intake manifold galley and get ready for the cam swap which will be in an upcoming video. Thanks for watching and I'll keep the videos coming as often as I get a chance to work on the car!

Real General Lee Dodge Charger Walk Around of Perfect Restoration
Check out this 1969 Dodge Charger that was used as a General Lee during the filming of the TV show The Dukes of Hazard. My friend James Smith and his brother at Smith Bros. Restorations went to great lengths to restore this car to the EXACT condition it was in when it saw duty as the famous high jumping hot rod on the 80's hit show. This car is equipped with a 383 c.i. engine that breathes through a set of Flowmaster Super 44's. Check out a great video of this car in action on the Hot Rod Magazine you tube channel... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kW7OBXsXck Don't forget to check out the Flowmaster website- http://flowmastermufflers.com/ or like them on Facebook at- https://www.facebook.com/FlowmasterMufflersINC Thanks for watching!

Aston Martin V8 Vantage S Roadster - Road Test with Great Sound
http://www.galpinpremier.com/ This is the new 2012 Aston Martin V8 Vantage "S" Roadster. This new "S" model incorporates many new performance enhancements to the already capable Vantage. The most unique addition is the SEVEN speed "automated manual shift" paddles behind the steering wheel. It took some getting used to, but after some practice I learned to really enjoy the paddle shift, though I would still prefer a manual transmission. This car proved to be all about balance. The 4.7L V8 engine puts out 430 h.p. and 361 lbs. ft. of torque, not big numbers for cars at this price range (about $165,000), but the chassis on this car is so good that every bit of the horsepower is maximized. Then, there's the sound this car makes. This just might be one of the best sounding V8 engine roar on the planet. Special thanks to James Smith for the car to car and jib arm shots. Also, thanks to Eric Matuschek for letting me chase him and his sport bike up the canyon.
