epic 14 hour enduro of crapcan racing in a tropical storm. Early in the race before the squalls hit. Remarkably clean driving with 117 cars on the track.

This is video from the first day of the Chump Car Race in Portland, OR on April 9th, 2011. All inside shots from the Hawaii 2-4-Oh Nissan 240sx. This was a 7 hour endurance race with cars that are valued around $500 excluding safety equipment.

This is a good demo of how hard it was to drive and see in the rain at Daytona. It was extremely slick, but I found some grip somehow.

Raw video. 1st stint. Start of the race. Bill Strong driving the Racing Strong Motorsports / TwosRus.com ModSquad Racing V6 MR2. Powered by a 1MZ-FE V6. New fuel pump caused fueling issues as it slowly failed. We just had no power, and the lean fuel pressure was causing high water temps.

Daytona 2012 CHUMPCAR Highlights
Some highlights from car number 123. This is from the first two hours, until just after our first driver change when the camera went dead.

We were on a pace to win it all but 45 min in the transmission was stuck in 3rd gear. Of course we left our spare trans 1000 miles away back home. After tearing it apart we were left with High and low gear.... Just like NASCAR. The transmission only had 2nd and 5th gear left. Soon after the battery stopped charging so we replaced alternator and battery. Only to find out the kill switch was the culprit, so we replaced that too.
Then the car came back for a loose clutch cable after transmission re installation and after that the Alternator charging output was loose.
All said and done kudos to Chumpcar for the fantastic job they did putting this together.
