testing top speed of 200SX S13 1.8 turbo CA18DET ... blown engine at 240kmh (actual GPS verified speed - rear tires were bigger than stock)... conrod broke in 5th gear at 6400rpm (at top speed and peak power) and was launched trough engine block... on german autobahn, ofcourse... ;) ;) ;) btw... the car was bought for some spare parts, we knew the engine was not that good, but checked all the fluids...after the engine blew it acctualy didnt matter, I really dont like CA engines anyway... right now i have 3 S13's (1 CA i 2 SR) and 1 build S14 SR...

One cam, one take. No music so you can enjoy the muscular sound of a true Swedish beast, the Volvo 740 GL from 1986. Heard a noise from up on the hill and went to check it out. Turns out a friend of mine was trying to fry his volvo engine. He gave it his best but ran out of gas. Don't worry, we'll be back to try again.

Renault Laguna blown turbo
This was my Laguna 02, Whilst driving pretty fast on a motorway it suddenly lost over a half of its power. I pulled over to see what was it but found nothing. I wanted to continue to drive as I had a date but when I started the engine the rev counter hand went all the way up and the engine obviously was making a lot of noise. I wanted to stop the engine pressing the button but it wouldn't work then I saw a lot of smoke that made me scared :) I ripped out the access card to stop the engine but surprisingly it wouldn't work either and after a minute or so of trying I hit the idea to stall it on 1st gear with with the brakes on - thankfully it worked out. I found myself up in the smoke in the middle of motor way and a couple of minutes later the fire brigade was with me but there was nothing to put out. Called AA to get it of the motorway and that was the very last straw, never ever Renault again, sold it for parts! didn't get on the date and don't think the bird believed my story :)
