1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS All Street Project Car
This is my 1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. I have owned this car for 13 years and it has been in the family for over 26 years. The car has just under 29,000 original miles. The engine and drivetrain is all original as well as the paint and interior. I didn't drive the car much, so I decided to make a few subtle changes, mostly in the stance, so I would drive it more. Just don't care for the stock stance on these cars. For the front I used 2" drop Belltech spindles and 1" drop Belltech springs. For the rear I used OPG 3" drop rear springs. 3" total drop front and rear. I used Belltech Street Performance shocks on all four corners. The wheels are Center Line Retros 18 x7 front, 18 x 8 rear. Nitto NT555 tires 225/45 in the front, 255/45 in the rear. Also for a little more sound, I went with Flowmaster Super 40 mufflers and custom tailpipes. I drive the car a lot now just cause I enjoy it so much more. I didn't cut anything and I have everything to put the car back original if I ever decide to in the future.

1983 Monte Carlo with 565 Big Block Chevy with more detailing.
Did some detailing on the car: redid my dash with removable gauge inserts that I made out of aluminum. Then I bought new anodized valve covers and stripped and polished them,added borgenson steering shaft, braided power steering hoses, added second fuel system for Nitrous,dual hood lights,made some hood vents out of aluminum. etc. So I fired it up to adjust my vacuum pump (probably pissed off my neighbor).
Referee certified LS1/6speed 85 SS montecarlo
100% homebuilt 85 SS monte. LS1, 6 speed, OBD2 conversion. complete drivetrain, harness, fuel system, dash and other misc. parts out of a 99 SS Camaro. the Camaro only had 47k miles when it came into my possesion. rest of the car including heater, lights, wipers, cruise control and things like that all being powered from the Camaros harness/controls. none of the 1985 harness remains except the dome light circuit. t
GM A-body 12 bolt reareand with 4.11:1 gears and a true track posi fitted with the ss Camaros 12" rear disc brakes. shortened upper trailing arms and adjustable lowers with spherical rod ends to fit the older/beefier/wider rearend. still a work in progress at this point, but to me getting the referee to approve my work was a big deal and a huge step. this car passes california smog legally! go green!...well as green as you can go with a full size, v8 powered car thats built for thrashing.
1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS 385 HP 350 V8 Nitrous
I thought you might like a look at this very quick 1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. It's powered by a 385 horsepower 350 small block that is equipped with a 125 shot of Nitrous, a Holley four barrel, long tube headers, etc. All that power is sent through a turbo 400 automatic back to a set of 3.73 gears with posi. 1971 Chevy Chevelle SS Vert w/ 572 BBC on 24" Bonspeeds Pt.1 - 1080p HD
A good solid video of the Red w/ Black Stripes 71 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Convertible sitting on Bonspeed 24's. Car was COMPLETELY REDID BY ULTIMATE AUDIO in Lexington, SC. Letting the top down and you can see the interior, trunk, and motor in this one. TOO CLEAN! Interior is black leather, with red suede and kicker speakers in the doors, with a 2010 Chevy Malibu Dash, with Dakota Digital set up also. Trunk is fiberglassed with 2 Kicker L7 Subs, and the motor is a 572 engine, fuel injected. Has a FAST EFI conversion kit on it to make it fuel injected! This Chevelle is a 71, with the nose and back clip of a 1970 Chevelle. Nice Chevelle done by Ultimate Audio.
