BMW M1 Turbo Inboard Nurburgring
BMW M1 turbo mit Hans Wagner auf der GP Strcke des Nürburgrings im Programm des Oldtimer Grand Prix.
Bei Schnitzer entstanden damals drei Exemplare des M1 turbo, der bekannte Reihensechszylinder des Procar wurde mit zwei turboladern zwangsbeatmet. Die Ladeluftkühler befinden sich in den Seitenkästen vor den Hinterrädern.
In der ersten Version des M1 turbo arbeitete noch das ZF-Getriebe aus der Procar Serie, daß den Kräften des Motors jedoch nicht gewachsen war. Später kam ein Hewland 5 Gang Getriebe zum Einsatz, das war zwar ziemlich hakelig aber es hielt. Auch in diesem M1 im Video ist das Hewland Getriebe verbaut.
Am Anfang der siebten Runde kurz vor der Ford-Kurve gibt die Krümmerdichtung auf, die akustischen veränderungen sind gut zu hören. Interessant auch daß das typische Kreischen des Sechszylinders fehlt, turbolader und Schalldämpfer (grusel) sei Dank.

nichts für schwache Nerven - 8 Runden Nordschleife an der Seite von Michael Bäder im Getrag BMW Z4 V8 Coupe im Juli 2008 auf der Nürburgring Nordschleife.
Aus diesem Video wurde zuvor nur eine Rennrunde veröffentlicht sowie eine kurze Szene der ersten Rennrunde.
Runde 1: sehr hartes Manöver zwischen Stefan Kissling (Corvette) und Dirk Adorf (Lamborghini) im Bereich Arembergkurve
Runde 3: Steilstrecke, Manthey kegelt Alzen raus
In der achten Rennrunde schafft es Michael Bäder endlich an Armin Hahne im Manthey Porsche 996GT3MR im Streckenabschnitt Breidscheid vorbeizukommen, läßt sich jedoch wegen der gelben Flagge wieder zurückfallen. Dabei fährt Hahne ihm leicht auf das linke Vorderrad, was nicht wild aussieht aber für einen Schaden an der Servolenkung und Ausfall mit technischem Defekt sorgte. Armin Hahne schaut nach dem Vorfall offenbar nur nach vorne, ohne das brennende Heck des Manthey Porsche zu registrieren.

The Air Intake looks like a Formula 1 Intake and the engine revs over 10.000rpm. Absolutly Awesome, the Cars wight was under 600KG and the Power of the engine nearly 300Hp.

Multi-Car Crash At The Nürburgring | October 2011

Yesterday around 14:00 in the afternoon, a serious traffic accident happened on the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring with a total of eight vehicles involved including the famous BMW M3 Ring Taxi. The accident took place in two phases with drivers from several European countries involved.
The accident was probably caused by speeding. In the section called "Bergwerk" a construction company set up by a construction zone. While most of the drivers realized this, a fourth driver was trying to brake, but could not prevent a side collision with a car driving ahead. The car then hurled into the grass. After 50 meters it came back on the road where it hit two other cars.
The accident situation was recognized by three other drivers and they were able to slow down their cars. Another car, a BMW M3 ring taxi, did not pay attention and crashed against two of the decelerating cars. The ring taxi eventually stopped against the guard rail. Except for one single vehicle, all cars were severely damaged and no longer roadworthy. The estimated damage is more than € 100,000.

Porsche 911turbo vs. BMW M1 Procar
Porsche 911turbo gegen BMW M1 Procar beim Rennen der Classic Endurance Racing in Spa Francorchamps. Über fast eine Stunde duellierten sich Ralf Heisig im 911 und Christian Traber im M1. Wenige Runden vor Rennende konnte sich der Eidgenosse im BMW durchsetzen und erbte sogar noch den Klassensieg in der GT2 Klasse, nachdem der in der Klasse führende Porsche 935 ohne Sprit liegenblieb.
Das Video zeigt ein paar Bilder vom Streckenrand sowie einige Runden Onboard aus dem BMW M1 und dem Porsche 911.
