A great time, but got there at 11 am and was wiped out by 4:30. Final 16
wasn't until after dusk. Glad I went ...but I've seen faster and more interesting race cars at
other events. Lots of people because ...it's on TV, I guess.

In Charlotte at the Z-Max Dragway, looks like things are getting a bit more
competitive as the final positions are up for grabs!
4 jet cars at Zmax Dragway Concord, NC
Z Max Dragway 4 Lane Dragstrip with 4 jet cars racing simultaneously all
over 230MPH at the finish line. Sorry about the quality, I shot it with a
small digital camera from the stands.
4 Jet Car Drag Race
Under the definition of "awesome" should be a picture of 4-jet cars racing!
NMRA/NMCA All Star Nationals at ZMax Dragway in Charlotte, NC ended the
night by lighting up ZMax's 4 drag lanes with the fire and the thunder of 4
jet turbine drag cars creating an estimated 24,000 HP on one track! The
Embry Riddle dragster takes off and runs a 5-second quarter.
Z-Max Dragway 4-Way Funny Car Run
John Force, Mike Neff, Del Worsham and Tim Wilkerson made history at the
NHRA Carolinas Nationals in Charlotte as the first drivers' to ever run 4
lanes wide at an NHRA national event. Mike Neff won the race beating his
team owner John Force from a holeshot and leaving Worsham and Wilkerson
behind. Neff ran a 4.136 @ 307.58, Force ran a 4.118 @ 305.91, Worsham ran
a 4.205 @ 298.27 and Wilkerson ran a 4.509 @ 262.49.
