2013 Ford Mustang 3.7L V6 0-60/5.0
Took my car out of town to check the performance using the track aps. Its my second 3.7 so I was able to salvage a few mods I had made on my 2011. Those mods include a C&L cold air intake, 91 octane bama tune and a alluminum drive shaft. The gears are still 273 and the exxaust just has some ford racing axle backs. Place is phoenix arizona about 75 degrees early one saturday morning. Not that it would make a difference, but I started both runs on the shoulder of the road which is paved and had to steer diagonaly until I was on the road and then straightened it out. Oh I hate to dissapoint but it is an auto. Why, cause their faster. Trust me I know, cause I ran the shit out of my 2011 and never lost to another 3.7 and still havent. I always see them shifting fratically as I blow by after first gear.

Camera guy messed up on the last race - started video taping 2 seconds after they took off.
Otherwise pretty good races, both cars are pushing similar power, it just depends who gets a better start.
For the record Mustang was automatic also.

The Ford Mustang gets a few updates for the 2013 model year, which keeps the model competitive with its more thoroughly modern competition, like the 2013 Chevrolet Camaro. We're all for an event that culminates with the serving of cake, especially when the sweet stuff is delivered in tandem with supercharged Mustang coupes built especially for drag racing. Ford recently threw a party at the Auto Alliance Mustang factory in Flat Rock, MI to celebrate the official delivery of its new 2012 Mustang Cobra Jet, a vehicle that the company proudly maintains is quickest accelerating production vehicle ever made. When pressed, Ford tells us the CJ will do a 60-foot launch in 1.3 seconds and the quarter-mile in under 10 seconds. We asked about a 0-60 mph time, but we were reminded that measurement is pretty meaningless in drag racing.
Cobra Jet buyers from all over came from as far away as Calgary, Alberta and Puerto Rico to participate in the ceremony and take delivery of their new racecars, and we're betting they would have made the trek even without the sheet cake. All attendees signed a 2012 Mustang Cobra Jet hood that will later be placed on the walls of the production facility.
