Capri 2.0S cosworth, 0-200 km/h and 100-230 km/h
This is my old capri 2.0S with cosworth 2.0 YB engine, t5 gearbox and
atlas 3.44 + zf motorsport lsd rear axle. Earlier the engine gave 364 hp
but after rebuild with wrc-pistons, long H-profile rods, ported head +
bd16 cams it has not been Dynoed yet. Let´s see after turbo swap.
The guitar player is my relative. His playing and this Deep Purple`s old
song sounds good to me and hope you like it too.

A spectacular Ford Capri 2.8 Injection Special detailed to original
Remote control driver's door mirror, body-coloured grille, lamp bezels
body-coloured, power assisted steering, front and rear spoilers, tailgate
wash/wipe, tinted glass all round, ammeter and oil pressure gauge,
tachometer, quartz analogue clock, courtesy lights, perforated black
headlining, front reclining Recaro seats, three-spoke leather covered
steering wheel, tilting/sliding steel sunroof, boot light, instrument
This incredible example is beautifully finished in Ford Black (code A9), a
cost option when new. A deep mirror shine from the almost flawless paint
finish is truly breath taking. All factory fitted panels are straight with
linear gaps and completely free from corrosion and paint blisters. All
exterior trim items and decals are pristine and firmly cement the 'as new'
appeal of this very special car. Hard to source fitments such as the
rubber spoiler and colour coded front grill are pleasingly immaculate. The
rubber trim to the top of each door panel has perished with age slightly.
A fantastic unmolested engine bay is beautifully cleaned and highlights the
attention to detail in order to create a factory original example, exactly
as Ford intended.
The interior of this 2.8 Injection Special evokes a sense of true nostalgia
with the supportive Recaro seats looking fantastic finished in the grey
high-grade leather with 'Strobe' pattern fabric centre panels (code Q5).
The original material to the rear bench seat is remarkably wear free and
clean, and the front seats are perfect having been subject to a
professional re-trim to exacting standards. The deep pile grey carpeting is
spotless and the black perforated headlining unique to the Special is tight
and clean with only a tiny nick to the rear of the sunroof catch. The
leather covered steering wheel is in beautiful unworn order. All controls
fully function including the two-speed heater fan and analogue quartz clock
and are housed in a pristine dashboard which is completely free from the
normal cracking issues. An 80's iconic interior exactly true to the
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The Capri 2.8 Injection was the first offering of the new Special Vehicle
Engineering (SVE) operation that had recently been set up in Dunton, Essex.
SVE added a Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection system, an oil/water heat
exchanger, viscous coupled fan and an improved radiator making this models
158 BHP capable of 130mph and 0-60mph in 7.9 seconds. The engine is smooth
and quiet whilst producing an unmistakable burble and a deep roar under
enthusiastic use! The 5 speed gearbox is light and progression through the
range is precise.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
This Capri is fitted with the factory original 7-spoke alloy wheels in
flawless condition and with correct Ford badged centre caps. Branded
Falken Ziex 205/60 R13 tyres are fitted with masses of tread remaining.
The hydraulic dual-line servo-assisted brakes with ventilated front discs
unique on the 2.8 Special stop the car quickly and in a straight line.
Registered new on 26th October 1984, Mr A Cooper the previous owner of this
car purchased it from a Mr M Hudson, a lifelong Ford enthusiast. Upon
taking ownership in February 2012, Mr Cooper, a renowned professional
classic vehicle restorer, embarked upon his personal project to restore
this example to the highest standard. His motive was to relive his youth
having owned a number of examples in the 1980's! Many journeys viewing
both 'immaculate' and 'original' examples proved fruitless until this
un-abused car ticked all the boxes. The finish achieved is impeccable and
a credit to both Mr Cooper and this legendary, iconic Ford Capri.

restore/rebuild a 1973 Ford Capri MK1 on our lunch hour(s) at the Eastwood
Company. Many new products were developed and tested on this car. Hope to
