The new Challenger vs. the World [S3 Ep.8-1]
Some of the biggest news to come down the automotive pipeline in a long
time is the fact that Dodge is making the Challenger again. But how does it
stack up against the legendary Challengers of old? Well, Stacey decided to
find out! First, by "grabbing" a Challenger in a most unorthodox way... and
then comparing it head-to-head with a 70'440 six-pack car. But that's not
all... Then Stacey decided to take the new car beyond the legend by
sticking on a Supercharger and really
blowing the doors off of the competition! If you are a Mopar nut, or have
just wondered what all the fuss was about concerning the new Challenger...
this is one show you've got to see!
The Phoenix: Ted Nugent Bronco [S5 Ep.3-3]
There is a saying that for every good side of something , there's also a
dark side. Today on GEARZ, Stacey goes there as he reveals what to do when
bad things happen to good projects. Using Ted Nugent's old broken down and
discarded Bronco as an example, he shows how to start over and re-kindle
the passion in a project that has been given up on by everybody else. If
your project has been stolen or stripped, or has become stranded by hard
times, sometimes all it needs is a little change of direction to get it to
rise out of the ashes and soar again. If Stacey can get Ted's old Bronco to
rise like a Phoenix out of the ashes and fly again, you can do the same
thing with your project too! You just have to roll up your sleeves and get
The V8 Interceptor: Nips, Tucks and 8 Stack [S5 Ep.6-1]
The V8 Interceptor is back! Today Stacey answers your questions by walking
you through the fitment of that massive Boss 9, 520ci engine in the '67
Cougar. Headers, oil pan, master cylinders, are addressed, but the big
surprise is what is going on top. It's an incredible 8-stack injection with
the look and feel of a vintage Hilborne system, and the function and
drive-ability of a modern electronic fuel injection. You have to see it to
believe it, and when you do see it, you won't believe it! Then Stacey goes
through some tips and tricks for your fuel system that will keep you
running down the road, and not sitting on the side of it! It's all
GEARZ...and it's all here!
Junkyard Truck [S4 Ep.2-1]
On this episode, Stacey goes where all of us have been before to pull an
old derelict SEMI TRUCK ('69 Loadstar/International) out of a quiet
junkyard to demonstrate the steps necessary to get an old, neglected
vehicle running again. From rat's nests to chicken poop, it's all here as
Stacey slowly coaxes the old truck back to life. This show definitely
drives the point home that if something like this can be revived, there's
NOTHING that you should be afraid to tackle as long as you are armed with a
set of tools and a sense of adventure! Go get 'em!
JCG Restorations 1968 Camaro -- /BIG MUSCLE
Tucked away in a small industrial park in Oxnard, CA sits JCG Restorations
& Customs, a moderately sized shop that has built some of the best
performing pro-touring cars that we've ever driven. Now generally we don't
focus in on shops, however when the owners of three of our best test cars
start dropping names, we tend to listen. Originally we descended on JCG to
drive Blu Balz, a stunning 1968 Camaro owned by one Karl Dunn.
However since Mother Nature decided to water the Earth that day, we put our
original plans on hold and got shop owner Cris Gonzalez to give us the in's
and out's of what it takes to make a stellar pro-touring car.

The Knuckle Buster [S3 Ep.1-1]
Today on GearZ, Stacey takes a well worn, '73 Chevy pickup that was left
for dead in the late 80's, and starts bringing it back to life by upgrading
the suspension and brakes. Not only is this a project that most anybody can
do, but it is the start of a three part series of the major steps that are
involved in rebuilding a vehicle. With the way the economy is and the price
of new vehicles today, this show demonstrates that there is a better option
than buying something new... bust your own knuckles and build it yourself!
Then Stacey sits down with off-road racing legend Ivan Stewart to find out
what makes him "the Ironman".

The Ram 1500 Express [S5 Ep.8-1]
Two of the biggest complaints that people have about the new Car
manufacturers today, is that they don't build the cars and trucks people
want, and what they do build is too expensive. Well, never fear because
today on GEARZ, Stacey introduces the new Ram 1500 Express that has a 390
Hemi in a short bed, regular cab truck, and an price tag that will have you
rubbing your eyes and pinching yourself to see if it is true. Better yet,
there is a huge aftermarket out there to help you build a one of a kind
vehicle. In 1968, Plymouth stood the muscle car world on its ear with the
incredible Road Runner. In 2011,Mopar has done it again with the Ram 1500
Express...and GEARZ has the very first one... BEEP...BEEP!!!
The V8 Barstool [S2 Ep. 4-3]
In the world of hot rodding, when gear heads gather around and start
discussing their projects, invariably the conversation drifts into
speculation of what the smallest thing is that you can successfully put a
V8 engine in. Well today on GEARZ, Stacey pretty much puts an end to that
speculation by building a V8 powered BARSTOOL!! It's part go-cart... part
garden tractor... part insane... and ALL hot rod. Which of course is what
GEARZ is all about! If you like WILD.. then you don't want to miss this
show! Then Stacey dives into some Muffler Tech to show you what kind of
mufflers there are on the market, and give you some tips that might help
you make the right decision when the time comes to stick some cool mufflers
on your machine!
