The 1.85 mile track is one of the UK's oldest circuits, opening in 1950, 18 months after Silverstone -http://www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk/ - The race is organised by Healey Driver International and it looks like about 30 Healeys have entered the race - Qualifying for the Big Healey Challenge is on Saturday morning with the race scheduled in the afternoon as the third race of the day. In the early evening there is also the Intermarque Twilight Challenge for pre 1970s cars - If you are planning to come - why not drop by and say hello - Well what a wonderful day and hopefully an event to be repeated - Great weather, fantastic people, good clean racing (not too many casualties) and a brilliant social - THANK YOU to JOE COX who organised the event, THANK YOU to JULIAN BRONSON for providing lunch in the Strawford hospitality suite during the day, THANK YOU to DAVE SMITHIES who provided all the buffet in the evening at the presentation event at The Cross Hands Hotel, Old Sodbury and THANK YOU to Phil Broster for taking real photos rather than my snaps (well some people say they are real photos but they can be a bit blurred sometimes and the wheels can look like they are not moving) and THANK YOU to EVERYONE who came to watch or to participate - especially our foreign visitors (The Vikings and 1 Dutch man who could easily pass as a Viking)
