1964 Cadillac: Big, Black & Blown - /BIG MUSCLE
This is a 1964 Cadillac DeVille drop-top. It's got a blown 468 cubic-inch
big block, 600 plus horsepower, and if you
haven't figured it out by now, it's a friggin' carnival ride on four
wheels. I stumbled upon this amazing machine while walking through a car
show in Alameda, CA and after speaking with owner Ron Dean, I knew it was
something that had to be featured on BIG MUSCLE. Stretching 20-feet in
length and having a personality that simply can't be ignored, this old
DeVille not only kicks sand in the face of other hot-rods, but does so
while maintaining all the comfort and class that vintage Cadillac's are

1964 Cadillac, Sedan deVille, 35k Mile Survivor, For Sale!
This is a gorgeous original Cadillac that has been in the ownership of San
Diego area collectors for decades. With 35,000 original miles, fully
featured, including air conditioning, this is ready for a Preservation
Class entry at a concours.
This survivor was added to the collection of Rug Cunningham of Cunningham
BMW decades ago. Upon Mr. Cunningham's death in the early 1990′s many of
his cars were sold. This Cadillac was then bought by another San Diego
collector of nice original Cadillac's, Shannon Sigler.
This gorgeous original car still has its original paint and interior, as
one would expect from being kept in Southern California in loving hands.
While showing a few minor blemishes, this Cadillac is a spectacular
Service history helps document the incredibly low mileage. By July 1969
the Cadillac had amassed a mere 17,692 miles. By 1977 it had amassed
27,000 miles. In July 1995 records indicate 30,173 miles. And presently
the motorcar has approximately 35,000 original miles.
1964 was the first year of the iconic 429 cu in V8 engine and turbo hydramatic transmission. Wearing a newer
set of radials and incredibly low miles, this Cadillac drives like a dream.

1964 CADILLAC DEVILLE 2-DOOR HARDTOP, WHAT YOU GET FOR $5,386
A revised Cadillac engine this year included a lighter and stronger
crankshaft and a stiffer block wighing fifty pounds less. Displacement
went from 390 cid to 429, still a 325 bhp. 1964 was the year that GM
styled hardtop steel roofs that resembled a convertible top. GM also
developed a convertible roof and window closing feature when rain would
start to fall. Talk about a luxury car option! Beside the more powerful
engine, the accessories included power steering, power brakes, power
windows, power locks, air conditioning, power radio antenna, power seats,
AM radio, a full set of gauges excluding a tachometer, and leather / cloth
interior. So, in 1964 this is what $ 5,386 would get you - a Cadillac
hardtop, the luxury car that was the " Standard of the World ". Thanks
very much for viewing this original surviving Cadillac DeVille hardtop.
