Electric Car 2 Owner 1971 VW Squareback EV Beetle Bug Karmann Ghia wagon

This is a Very clean 1971 VW Squareback Wagon. If your looking for one of these cars this is as clean as it gets it is a 2 owner from what i know of the car. The coolest thing possibly is the fact that the car is a Electric Vehicle / EV also if you want i will include the Generator so you can make it a Hybrid. This is a great car and the electric part is done right these kits cost $7500 to $9500 and then you have to install it and have a vehicle prepped for it etc there is $15,000 to $20,000 you will not have to dump into yours if your looking for the ultimate Hybrid. call anytime Nathan 406 544 6919

Kaylor Kit Electric Motor Demo
This is a video of our demo flick for our Kaylor Electric Conversion Kit for the older VW platform. This is an older style Starter/Generator Military Shunt DC motor with a custom made adaptor plate and flywheel from Kaylor Energy Systems. These are no longer being made but can still be found. We are testing a modern PWM electronic controller specifically designed to run these special motor. They are able to do regen too. This motor can push a stock steel bodied VW Ghia to 62 mph with 12 6 volt batteries. It is a 72 volt system. It works perfect. Perfect for a nice fun all electric buggy. Or Bug or Ghia.

Jon McDougal's Electric Beetle
Jon retrofitted this 1974 beetle into an all electric vehicle, and then refurbished it so it looks really sharp. The parts for the conversion were about $10,000 and once all the parts are available, the conversion could be done in about three days. This vehicle qualified for the $6,000 tax credit.

The haunted VW Type 3 Squareback
From a late 70's South African candid camera-type movie 'Funny People' by Jamie Uys. A VW Type 3 Squareback was rigged by remote to fool around with people, and it was all captured on film. Note the other VW cars in the background, typical 70's South African street scenes. For more info on the local VW scene, go to www.aircooledvwsa.co.za and enjoy! Regards Pine

132542 / 1971 Volkswagen Type 3 Squareback
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/csvxwvo This cool 1971 Volkswagen Type 3 Squareback is an unusual, highly appealing time capsule that retains its original drivetrain, houses its original interior and would make any VW collector very happy. This Type 3 has only changed hands twice in its forty years of existence and was garage kept the entire time. This resulted in a solid body with factory correct panel gaps that has never been worked on or taken apart. While this car's paint isn't concours, it does carry a nice shine and would look great motoring down the street to any VW show. Open the hood and you'll find the cars original air cooled 1.6L (1584 cc) 'pancake' engine. The engine bay looks good for a 40 year old car and I'd venture to say that this car has been largely unmodified save for the two small diameter chrome air cleaners that sit on either side of the engine bay. Underneath the car, cross-mounted round torsion bars span the full width of the chassis while an anti-roll bar connects the cars upper trailing links together. The rear suspension is the cars original CV joint semi trailing arm system that houses the cars original 4-speed manual transmission. New correct 15 inch steel wheels with chrome center caps and stainless trim rings are mounted on wide white wall 165R15 Geostar tires. Inside the car, an all original interior is in very good shape with only the driver's seat showing any major signs of wear. If you know vintage Volkswagens, you know that finding an all original '71 Type 3 is almost impossible, especially one that's been this well maintained. Don't miss your opportunity to own a truly unique car; call now!
