Front Engine Dragster - Old Flames Racing
This shot was taken at the world famous Paris Drag Strip. There's nothing
like the smell of a burnout and having to shower the rubber dust out of
your hair. Drag racing in a front engine dragster is very unique. You
can't see directly in front because the engine is in the way. You can
reach out and touch the rear slicks which are about 4 inches from your
shoulder. The rear differential is right between your legs. My favorite
part is the burnout.

First Full Pass 1969 Front Engine Dragster 8.96 at 141 mph
Video of my first full 1/4 mile pass in my 1969 front engine dragster. It
went 8.96 @ 141 mph. Second pass went 8.94 @ 145 mph, but no video. Car
has a 600 hp small block Chevy, Powerglide trans, 4.30 gear in a Mopar 8
3/4 rear, and 12.00-16 M&H nostalgia top fuel slicks on real magnesium
16x11 Halibrand wheels.
