70' Cadillac Eldorado - Redux Project II 2012
Resurrection of the 1970 Eldorado, new build & finally setup properly under the hood... Pumping out 575hp & 638ft lbs of torque!... Just a few tire churning smokeouts to a classical verison of "Kashmir"... Plenty of "Rolling Burnouts" cruising at 20mph then flooring the gas, the tires break loose & churn..

1970 Cadillac Eldorado
Shot this footage shortly after buying the car, believe 1999. In the next few months I installed a hidden headlight grille assembly, taillights and hubcaps from a couple of 1968 Eldorados I found in pick-u-parts. Preferred that look. 500 C.I. engine, FWD, would do front tire burnouts as long as you'd like. Pretty fast car for its size and weight, engine made some power, the only year it had the high-compression heads. One of the favorite cars I've owned, and one of General Motors best designs, hugely influential, even to this day. All the latest Cadillac's style is directly based on it. Too large to fit in the garage, rear bumper stuck out even with the front one touching the wall. I parked it next to a Ford Excursion and it was about 2" longer. It (and my right shoulder) was totaled in 2001 due to a red light runner pulling right in front of me. Knocked his Ford Crown Vic aside like it was a toy. That's my old work truck across the street, even rarer than the Caddy. 1962 Ford F-100 Unibody.
