I thought I was going to the staging by myself when this Z06 C5 pulls up next to me. I looked over at him to be "nice" but he was so hardcore that he could only look straight off in the distance.
After I pooped on his chest the guys handing out the time sheets looked very confused. They looked at my car and then at his and they still gave him the white ticket (Car finishing first) I was pissed, but I guess it still says my car finished first.
Better luck beating a 13 year old LT1 next time buddy.
Abandoned Old Truck Breathes New Life.
This 1965 Ford F100 was abandoned on the property I bought about 10 years ago.. We didn't think it would run or anything, as it was pretty rough looking, just sitting under some trees.. It appears to have never been tampered with, and it is all there,. It's a short bed, short wheelbase fleetside Custom Cab, and is worth saving.. We were surprised the engine purrs like a kitten, and doesn't smoke and.. We found out the previous owner was an old man (he died) that changed oil in all his vehicles every 1,000 miles, religiously.. The shifter needs work, and there are no brakes, but we will take care of that at a later date.
93 Corvette vs Brand New Mustang 5.0 !!!
My friends 93 6-speed lt1 vette somehow pulling a brand new stang.
Vette is bone stock except for muffler delete and a msd ignition. The owner believes when the msd ignition was installed the timing was advanced slightly but that is unconfirmed.
The Stang is a stock and manual.
THIS IS WHY YOU BUY GM

My first Dyno run = ~100hp more than expected even the Dyno operator was confused by wheel spin...:).Much more to be found in this combo only two runs were made... rest I tuned on I-75!!
3000rpm = 3psi and 420lb/ft with 240hp
4000rpm = 4psi and 480lb/ft with 360hp
5000rpm = 5psi and 517lb/ft with 495hp
6200rpm - 6psi with 495lb/ft with 570hp
The ONLY mods to this 1996 TA are:
Procharger D-1DC
200cc LT1 Porting and Cam package
92 Octane
Forged 383 at about 8.9:1
83lb injectors with my own custom 2 bar tune and 2 bar MAP on stock ECM
Long Tube Pacesetter Headers
Magnaflow 3" Cat Back connected to a Pacesetter Y-Pipe (Im sure this is just killing power).
Single Walbro 255l/hr pump.
McLeod Street Twin with Alum Flywheel
Stock trans/axle
Everything else (as in.. the entire car) is fully stock including the Traction Control and AC (it still works) and spare tire (and amps and subs).
So, this car is HEAVY, and ran 124mph in the 1/4 mile. The ZR1 might run 132mph and is about 900lbs lighter.. so YEP that just about confirms HP.
