ALMS Corvette Racing Team - Collision Avoidance Radar System Video
Behind the scenes interviews with Corvette racing drivers in the ALMS series discuss the technology of the collision avoidance radar system in this feature from Mobil 1 the Grid at http://www.grid1.tv. The Corvette 2012 American Le Mans Series champions use the collision avoidance radar system technology to help drivers spot competitors on the racetrack. This technology allows drivers in heavy traffic, poor weather and night races, to see race cars within 100 meters in order to tell which side drivers are trying to pass. Visual clues within drivers' peripheral vision improve drivers' ability to avoid collisions with the rear mounted radar system.
