68 Camaro SS/RS 396 "The Evil Twin" Drag Race Wheelstand
This is some old video of my old 68 Camaro Drag Car I called "The Evil Twin" @ the Phoenix, AZ Super Chevy Show in 2000. The car was all steel except the hood and weighed 3305 lbs with me in it. It ran a best that weekend of 10.30 @ 129.87 mph. Sorry for the quality, I tried to record it from an old well used VHS tape.
Sportsman Drag Racing in the '70s and '80s
The grass roots of Drag Racing, the weekend warriors, my old racin'
buddies, as we were 25 or 30 years ago. Includes some exhibition cars too.
These are pictures and video that I took at US 131 Dragway in Martin, MI,
Central Michigan Dragway in Stanton MI, Brainerd International Raceway in
Brainerd Minnesota, and Indianapolis Raceway Park in Indianapolis IN. The
soundtrack is just me jammin' on some Foreigner and Police.
68 Camaro SS/RS pt 1
My 68 Camaro SS/RS
clone project is slowly getting underway. This is the first time the car
has moved in over a year. I replaced a few parts and did some tweaking here
and there and with two shots of starter fluid it fired right up. I Idled it
up a touch just to keep it from stalling. The tires were so rotted that
pieces were falling off the sidewalls when I put air in them. Still cant'
believe they held air long enough to ease down the road. Transmission and
engine ran fine, no grinding in the rear gears either so looks like i'm off
to a good start.

68 Camaro SS/RS 396 Restoration Project Background
This is just a short slide show of my 68 SS/RS 396 Camaro. There are a few old pics
taken during the 34 years I have owned the car and some that show the pre
restoration condition as it sits today while I gear up to do a full
Rotisserie Resto on the car.
