97 Honda Civic Ram Air Intake Install
This video shows you how to install a ram air intake on a 1997 Honda Civic (D16Y8). The video also show several other mods to get cold air to the intake. The intake and all the accessories cost roughly $25. It makes a big impact on the engine even though there are no other mods except for a welded on glasspack. Since the install I have noticed the engine runs higher rpm's more easily. Although during the winter the gas mileage decreases and in the summer it increases. Most of my tutorials are just for ideas. Some are currently on my car others are not. Purchased K&N air filter and placed it on the end of the tube. just that easy. This is a Mazda cx7 GT 2.3 L MZR turbocharged I4 with 244 bhp and has an internal blow off valve to regulate engine psi.
