1969 Corvette 427 test drive
1969 Corvette 427 test drive and inspection. For me, this is pretty much
the perfect Corvette. It's Black, it's got a 427, of course it has a 4
speed, and it's my favorite body style. Not to mention this car has
documented original low miles and it's nearly all correct.

~ ARP studs with 12pt nuts..
~ Ross Racing billet pistons, dished - 32cc's for a 8.7:1 compression ratio
~ Edelbrock Performer RPM Heads with 84cc chambers...
~ Comp Cams Hydraulic Roller Cam .550 lift with 214 degrees lobe
~ Custom built blow-thru Holley carb with Boost referenced fuel pressure regulator.
~ 1000 gph fuel pump.
~ Methanol Injection

1,600 Wheel Horses on the Dyno...
Anytime you take a couple F2 chargers feeding a whole bunch of cubes and
add methanol even on only half of max Boost it is quite a show.. Intake gasket that
didn't want to play cut the day short. Around 1,600whp through an auto!
Lots left in the car and the Dyno. Over 1K ftlbs by 4
thousand... Easily the new top HP record for the Dyno without even trying yet.
Had manners like a street car just a bit more bark.
Built by Mark Werdehausen of Tydo racecars. A few of the components
came from Taliaferro machine shop. On the Superflow Autodyn 30 in
0-100mph Shelby Cobra
0-100 mph in about 7 secs. My Backdraft Cobra - 427ci Roush Racing engine
575 hp 550 tq 2,200 lbs, 6 speed, drag radials. Scary fast!!!
