1978 Trans Am Bandit Edition - Restoration

This is a movie about a '78 Trans Am that my daddy has owned since the early 80's. He restored it a few years back and it looks like new. There has been many times where he worked night and day on this car...countless hours. My dad has always worked hard and never "half done" anything. He unfortunately suffered a stroke a couple of years ago and is unable to use his left hand. It's a long road but we are all confident that he will get better. I love you daddy!

Totally 100% Original 1980 Trans Am Survivor Barn/Yard Find Sat for 20 Years
This video is the actual first time seeing this car for myself. It was pulled out from the original owners back yard and pulled to a friends home until I could get there. This day it was 102 degrees outside so sorry for all of the puffing going on. This car was going to be scrapped after a mechanic came to see it and he said this car will never run. Well he was totally mistaken. Car sat outside for 18 years and its still not a rust bucket.. We got it running and now working on the carb. UPDATE. WE REBUILT THE CARB TWICE AND REPLACE THE GAS TANK, ALL GAS LINES, SPARK PLUGS WATER PUMP, RADIATOR AND 3 BENT PUSH RODS AND 2 BROKEN ONES. SHE NOW IS A DAILY DRIVER AND RUNS LIKE NEW AND BURNS NO OIL. I HAVE PUT OVER 4,000 MILES ON HER IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS WITH NO ISSUES WHATSOEVER. GO TO MY PAGE AND YOU WILL SEE THE OTHER VIDS OF HER PROGRESS

132630 / 1978 Pontiac Trans Am
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/76vcnql This extremely rare 1978 Gold Special Edition Trans Am is an all original investment grade pony car that combines enduring Pontiac performance with some of the best visual sizzle to ever come out of Detroit. Assembled at GM's Norwood Ohio manufacturing facility in July of 1978, this gold Trans Am was taken right up the road to Brown Motor Sales in Toledo Ohio and promptly sold to Pamela Kudelka who has owned it for almost 34 years. The car has been immaculately maintained and features an original coat of GM code 50 Solar Gold paint on top of 100% original body panels that have never been wrinkled or repaired. Since the car has never been disassembled, it still displays completely factory accurate panel gaps that look surprisingly good and provide great panel alignment. On top of the spectacular Solar Gold paint, a set of full outlining stripes complements an awesome brown, yellow and gold screaming chicken hood decal which amps the cars visual appeal up from 'radical' to 'out of this world'. Under the hood you'll find this Trans Ams all original L78 V8 which, at 400 cubic inches was the largest muscle car engine you could buy in 1978. At the top of that motor, an original Rochester 4 barrel carburetor sits under the cars awesome shaker scoop. Below that carburetor, original GM corporate blue paint coats the entire block and original Exhaust manifolds send Exhaust into a high performance factory Exhaust system. All the hard parts around the motor, from the belt driven accessories to the brake Booster and air conditioning hanging on the fire wall are factory original; and as expected tags, markings and stamps are just where they should be from the date coded core support to the gold painted cowl tag. Underneath this Trans Am, a super solid 33 year old undercarriage tells the story of years of excellent maintenance and treatment with rock solid floor pans that still display most of their factory undercoating. Behind the motor, an original 3-speed automatic transmission sends power to an original code GM8 Posi-traction rear axle that's loaded with street friendly 2.56 gears. The cars original suspension, which includes Trans Am spec sway bars, shocks and springs combines with power front disc brakes and rear drums to provide great stopping and handling. All of the cars hardware and bushings appear to be in good shape and out back, a new stainless fuel tank is solid and leak free. Power flows to the pavement through fresh 225/70 Firestone Firehawk radials that are wrapped around the cars original Special Edition exclusive 15 inch cast aluminum wheels. Inside the car you'll find a stylish blend of original Camel Tan upholstery and Special Edition Trans Am exclusive gold trim. The cars original seats are comfortably firm and, carrying vinyl that is thicker than typical pony car attire, look like they should be in a much more modern, much more expensive car. Below the seats, tan carpet shows minimal wear and tear considering it's been through 33 years of Ohio winters and has likely been carefully protected by the cars rubber floor mats the whole time. Between the seats a simple Camel Tan console houses a storage bin behind the cars automatic shifter, and above the seats, a stain free headliner is stretched tight around the cars mirrored tops. In front of the driver, an excellent looking engine turned dash houses crystal clear gauges above controls for heat and air conditioning and the cars never removed Delco-GM stereo. At the sides of the seats, thick Camel Tan door panels feature bright stainless trim and chrome handles for the doors handles and windows. Connecting the driver to the road is a correct gold steering wheel with a Camel Tan rim and a correct gold screaming chicken horn button. Take it to the Pontiac Nationals or drive it to work when the weather is nice, either way, you can't go wrong with this Trans Am!

1978 Pontiac Trans Am Special Edition running ( Smokey & The Bandit )
My '78 Trans Am 400 CID 4 BBL V8, 200-R4 auto transmission with overdrive and a 12 bolt rear main wth Richmond 4:11 gears. Built in Norwood, OH, it was shipped to Atlanta, GA and spent all of her life there until I bought it in August '08. My son Spencer and I flew down to Atlanta and drove her back - boy was that a blast! The registration is the same as in Smokey & The Bandit. The rims were reconditioned perfectly and the brand new tires have less than 50 miles. The interior will be completely restored by the end of September (new vinyl seats, door panels and bezel are all that's needed).

132663 / 1978 Pontiac Trans Am SE
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/6nenvtw All original from its Hurst T-tops down to its factory Exhaust and white letter tires, this completely documented 16,800 mile 1978 Trans Am Special Edition has been stored in a climate controlled facility all of its life and has all the right stuff you have been looking for. Assembled at GM's Norwood Ohio manufacturing facility in December of 1977, this pristine Special Edition Trans Am was delivered to Hansord Pontiac Company in Minneapolis Minnesota and purchased on January 10th 1978 by the same dedicated owner that would keep it for close to 33 years. Today, the car presents as practically brand new with a spectacular coat of original GM code 19 Starlight Black paint that covers 100% original body panels which are as solid and straight as the day they left the showroom floor. Under the hood you'll find this Trans Ams all original 6.6 liter W72 V8 which was the largest muscle car engine you could buy in 1978. Thanks to government mandated emissions standards, performance had almost been legislated out of existence, and that left the Trans Am suffering a bit of an identity crisis. By utilizing smaller "6X" heads from a 350 and a revised camshaft, the W72 created higher compression and successfully reversed almost a decade of declining horsepower numbers. At the top of the motor, an original Rochester 4 barrel carburetor sits under the cars awesome shaker scoop. At the bottom of this Trans Am, a solid and clean all original undercarriage tells the story of years of excellent maintenance and low miles. Behind the motor, an original turbo-Hydramatic 350 3-speed automatic transmission sends power to the cars original 10 bolt rear end which still retains its original metal maintenance tag. The original Trans Am suspension, which includes power steering, thicker sway bars, better shocks and stiffer springs combines with power front disc brakes and rear drums to provide quick stops and great handling. The car even still carries its ORIGINAL power Boosting dual Exhaust system which barks out a deep vintage sound that most modern Flowmaster and Dynomax mufflers simply can't duplicate. All of the cars hardware and bushings appear to be in good shape and out back, a new stainless fuel tank is solid and leak free. At the corners, original aluminum Pontiac snow flake wheels wear the cars ORIGINAL 225/70 Uniroyal White Letter tires and are adorned with Special Edition exclusive gold paint and 'gold bird' center caps. Open this Trans Ams massive black doors and you'll find the cars original optional velour interior that sports Special Edition exclusive gold trim. The cars original seats are firm, crisp and look every bit as nice and rich as their velour name implies. Below the seats, the cars black carpet which has been carefully protected by factory rubber floor mats, displays no fading or unraveling at all. Between the seats a silver trimmed black console houses a storage bin behind the cars automatic shifter, and above the seats, a stain free headliner is stretched tight around the cars Hurst T-tops. In front of the driver, an excellent looking engine turned gold dash houses crystal clear gauges above controls for heat and air conditioning and the cars original Delco-GM AM/FM stereo. At the sides of the seats, pitch black door panels feature pristine stainless and chrome handles for both the doors and windows. Connecting the driver to the road is a correct gold steering wheel with a black rim and a correct gold screaming chicken horn button that perfectly matches the cars correct gold screaming chicken shift knob. If you're in the market for a kick ass Trans Am that is the quintessential late 70s American muscle car; here it is. Grab it fast and thank us in ten years as you watch its value climb!
