Test Drive: 2012 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 California Special
THIS IS AMAZING! This is one test drive that I thought I had lost forever, until it's recent discovery on an old memory card that I found stuffed in a corner of my camera bag! Enjoy the ride, and FEEL THE POWER! =)
For this test drive, we go out in the newly refined 2012 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 California Special, equipped with the newly developed 5.0L Ti-VCT 32v V8. The purpose of the drive is to demonstrate the new 5.0L V8 engine in varied road conditions, while discussing many of the features of both the exterior and interior that are included with the GT/CS package.

Me and my dad running down the 1320. At the time the black car was bone stock, the red car had cai/tune/ab. The black car has since gone low 13's, and the red car is the first in the country into the 12's n/a. This run was the only time we were able to line up, just so happened to be the most HORRIBLE runs for both of us. Still posted it anyways.
95 Camaro vs 2012 5.0 Mustang
Little back story to this random race.
I pulled up to this light and looked at the Mustang for a race. It was an older man, that looked like he he wasn't going to do anything. I cruised off the light after it looked like the Mustang didn't want to race, and just went on my way. After I lazily shifted into 3rd I noticed the Mustang was gaining fast, so i revved matched to 2nd and dropped it. As I broke loose at 45mph you can see me searching for my WOT Nitrous switch, and jamming it into 3rd. Once I started to catch up he shut down, and we slowed back down. So I haven't technically haven't raced a new 5.0 but still a decent vid from the gopro.

final run of the day. 5/1/11 14.76 @ 89 mph. all stock 90 5.0 lx with Exhaust. lapeer dragway, mi. yes it is slow i dont care. and before anyone says anything, its on street tires and i didnt want to burn the, up too badly.
