Lexus LFA Record Nurburgring 7.14
On Board Lexus LFA Record Nurburgring 7.14.
Lexus used an even more limited-edition version of its already limited LFA
known as the Nürburgring Edition. Only 50 examples are to be built, which
represents 1/10th of total planned LFA production. The differences on this
limited, limited-edition car can be found in the added aero bits,
track-tuned suspension, custom wheels and an extra 11 horsepower. That extra oomph
brings total power up to 563 horses, compared to the "standard" car's 552.
That power Boost is clearly enough
to push the LFA around the track more quickly than any production car has
gone before. However, the inquisitive minds at The Truth About Cars bring
up a good point with regards to "production car" records set on the 'Ring.
Lexus only built 500 examples of the LFA, and just 50 of those are
Nürburgring Edition cars. Should we consider that small production run
enough for the car to qualify? If so, why can't we consider the times
produced by a pair of Radical entries and a Gumpert Apollo Sport as part of
the production class? If we do, then the LFA's time would actually fall to
fourth. None of the aforementioned vehicles are mass-market units, but they
are sold in the States, if in very limited numbers.
Still, we don't want to take anything away from Lexus on a truly amazing
blast around this famed German circuit. Click past the jump to watch the
video ride-along for yourself.

2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 vs 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition! - Head 2 Head Ep. 52
On this episode of Head 2 Head, Jonny Lieberman travels to Barber
Motorsports Park for a head to head matchup with the brand new Chevy Camaro Z/28 and a well
known heavyweight, the Nissan GT-R. But not just any GT-R, the 2014 Track
Edition which packs a 545 hp twin-turbo
V-6, a 6-speed dual clutch transmission, sticky Dunlop tires and AWD
traction into a car without rear seats. The Z/28, by way of contrast,
features a massive 7.0-liter naturally-aspirated V-8, a 6-speed manual
transmission, and tail-out RWD. While it does still have rear seats, nearly
every other non-essential component has been removed. Moreover, the Z28's
tires might be even stickier! The front ones, enormous 305-sections, are
certainly the widest tires ever bolted to a production car. Both cars are
phenomenal, and both cars make rational men scream, "Gimme!" But only one
can come out on top. Watch and find out!

Best GTR launch control reaction ever
Courage is strong in this beautiful GTR Pilot! She took the directions
given to her and just rolled with it!
I love the part where the fear takes over body control, which makes it hard
for her to think straight to let off the gas to make it stop. Hahahahaha
This is by far the best GTR Reaction I have ever seen with for GTR Launch

Racing: 2011 Runoffs SRF in-car camera
UPDATE: Broken right rear shock was the handling culprit. D'oh.
See more info below ("show more") - 2011 SCCA Runoffs. Class: SCCA
Enterprises Spec Racer Ford (SRF)
Driver: Denny Stripling
Qualified 23rd, ran as high as 9th, finished 11th. Earned the Sunoco Hard
Charger award. Rear-facing camera in upper left hand corner.
Welcome to my Runoffs experience. I didn't qualify where I wanted due to
missing half of the week, having mechanical issues during my two qualifying
sessions, and subsequently over-driving my ill-handling car trying to make
up for lost time. Nevertheless, making up 14 spots during the race was
certainly exciting and enjoyable. Before the race I made a fuel pressure
adjustment that turned out to be ill-advised as I felt like I had less
straightaway speed than I had during qualifying the day before. I made
significant changes to try and loosen the car up and it worked... too much
in fact in the carousel which killed me on the longest straightaway.
Overall a very fun weekend and some pretty entertaining video as a result.
My brake pedal started to soften about a third of the way into the race so
I had to push my braking zones way back (like an entire marker in some
