Muscle Car Of The Week Video #32: 1970 Ford Mustang BOSS 429
http://www.facebook.com/musclecaroftheweek - Back in 1969, Ford was ready to roll out a new engine to compete in NASCAR - the BOSS 429. This was a semi-hemispherical headed V8 designed to compete with Dodge's 426 Hemi that was leading the pack on the NASCAR super speedways. NASCAR rules say that you need to sell at least 500 copies of a "street" version of any engine you planned to race, so Ford needed to build a civilian BOSS 429 for the general public. The interesting part is that Ford interpreted the rule book and noticed that the engine didn't have to be in the same car raced... so they could stuff a BOSS 429 into a Mustang rather than the Torinos being used in NASCAR. The result was a super-bad Mustang with a custom-installed 375 HP NASCAR engine under the hood. From the Brothers Collection.

Stef's 68 Mustang Burnout 1:15 Long
One of the guys at my work decides it's time to put his 1968 Mustang away for the winter, but before doing so, has to burn the tires off in a huge smokeshow in our Staff parking lot. Really funny, really smokey and just plain cool. 1968 Ford Mustang Coupe 289 Small Block Explorer Disc Rear end with 3:73 Gears 4 Speed AOD Transmission 17" Foose Wheels BFGoodrich GeForce Comp T/A tires

http://www.ClassicCarBuyingSecrets.com Click now for an instant download on "How to Avoid the 7 Deadliest Mistakes of Buying a Classic Car Online"! Pony car fans, have we got a cool 'Stang for you! Restored, Presidents blue paint, 4 speed, rebuilt 289 and NICE hardware throughout, this car drives as well as it looks!! This car is a great cruiser with a good amount of power. These cars are simply timeless. It was born and raised in North Carolina, and spend the majority of its life there. In 2003 it was purchased and shipped up to Michigan where the total restoration began. It was taken down to bare metal, painted, converted to a 289 4 speed, and stored in a heated garage. It was only taken out on the nicest of days. The previous owner is a long time painter and does body work for dealerships. Check out the flawless paint on this Pony! The paint color is called Presidents Blue, which is the original color this car came in. The paint is just stunning, and is accented by beautiful white striping down the sides. This Pony is straight as an arrow, with beautiful margins and super clean lips and jambs. The chrome bumpers on both ends are clean, as are the badges and trim pieces. Magnum 500 wheels and Cooper Cobra Radial G/T's (2-15-70-15 front, 2-35-60-15 rear) sit at all four corners. The car's a heap of fun to admire, but get behind the wheel for what really counts! Look underneath, where a lot of time and money were spent. Bolted to the 289 is a 4 speed Top Loader transmission, a recently painted and balanced driveshaft and a bulletproof, open Ford 8" rear end. You'll find a new gas tank, rebuilt springs and new shocks out back. The floorboards have no patches, no undercoating and no rust holes, and are covered in a nice coat of flat black paint. The frame is solid and rust free as well. The drop down panels and rockers are solid and rust free. Exhaust gases flow into the dual Exhaust system with Thrush mufflers and chrome Exhaust tips. There are SSBC front disc brakes with a brake proportioning valve. The steering gear is new, there are new bolts and new sway bar links. Up front you can see that there is a new starter, new motor mounts, new shocks, new bushings and new ball joints. Nothing flashy, nothing silly...just well engineered, quality components are under here! Pop the hood -- a ton of time and care went in here, too. You'll find a super clean and beautifully painted 289 with a Holley carb, with vacuum secondaries and electric choke, and an Edelbrock aluminum intake. The chrome air cleaner and fend aluminum valve covers add some eyeball to the motor compartment. The rebuilt radiator has new hoses. The alternator has also been rebuilt and sits above a stainless steel harmonic balancer. There is a new fuel pump, new solenoid and new SSBC power Booster and master cylinder. Everything from the hood hinges and the underside of the hood, to the core support and the inner fenders, has a very nice paint job. The combination runs well, and it looks great, too! Inside, you'll find a comfortable place to spend some decent miles. The two tone blue interior looks fantastic. You're holding on to a very cool, new Hurst shifter. Everything from the dash to the carpet, headliner to the seat covers looks great. This is one comfortable and clean Pony! Ready for a road trip? We just had a 442 very similar to this: Black, built drivetrain, clean cosmetics and a no-nonsense, drive anywhere demeanor. It lasted a whole FOUR DAYS before it found a new home. Don't get caught out on this one -- there's no end to the line of people wanting a proven street brawler with looks like this one! Call me 7 days a week 248-974-9513 www.vanguardmotorsales.com

Frame off restored, dark blue metallic paint with white racing stripes, a fresh 289 crate motor and NICE hardware throughout, this car drives as well as it looks!! These cars are simply timeless. Short of the Corvette, NO mid 60's profile is more recognizable! This Arizona car was originally a six cylinder with four lug wheels, until it was purchased by three friends who brought it up to Michigan and restored it. The three year frame off restoration was just recently completed, and everything is new or refurbished. It now has a brand new crate 289, five lug wheels and a brand new Roush paint job. We are frequently asked if a car is roadworthy and checked out...I don't think there's any doubt about this one! Check out the flawless paint on this Pony! That's 2011 Roush deep blue with three levels of metallic flakes. The white stripes were just added, and clear coated over. The paint is just stunning. The driving lights grille, chrome bumpers on both ends and spoiler are clean, as are the badges and trim pieces. Magnum 500 wheels and BF Goodrich Radial T/A's (2-05-60-15 front, 2-55-60-15 rear) sit at all four corners. The car's a heap of fun to admire, but get behind the wheel for what really counts! Look underneath, where a lot of time and money were spent. Bolted to the 289 is a C4 automatic transmission, a solid driveshaft and a bulletproof, open Ford 8" rear end. You'll find new bushings in front and out back. The frame is solid, rust free and painted in a nice coat of flat black paint. Exhaust gases flow into the dual aluminized Exhaust system with new mufflers and chrome Exhaust tips. Out back there is a new gas tank, new shocks and rebuilt springs. The drop down panels and rockers are solid and rust free. The pinch welds are clean and stamped part numbers are visible. The floorboards are painted in a beautiful coat of flat black paint, and aside from one superbly done small patch on the driver side, they are without flaw. Both front and rear drum brakes have fresh brake lines and new wheel cylinders. Nothing flashy, nothing silly...just well engineered, quality components are under here! Pop the hood -- a ton of time and care went in here, too. You'll find a brand new, beautifully painted Ford Blue, 289 crate motor with a Motorcraft 2 barrel carb with a choke and factory intake. The chrome air cleaner and valve covers are from Ford Motorsport. The radiator is new, and the starter and alternator have been freshly rebuilt. The master cylinder is new and the solenoid is new. Everything from the hood hinges and the underside of the hood, to the shock towers and core support has a very nice paint job. You can even see the numbers stamped on the inner fenders. The combination runs well, and it looks great, too! Inside, you'll find a comfortable place to spend some decent miles. You're holding on to a very cool, new wood and polished aluminum steering wheel and staring over a new dash with new gauges. New carpet and a new headliner surround you, and a rare bench seat with fold down armrest and new seat covers sit underneath you. This is one comfortable and clean Pony! An AM/FM cassette player is responsible for the tunes. Ready for a road trip? We just had a 442 very similar to this: Black, built drivetrain, clean cosmetics and a no-nonsense, drive anywhere demeanor. It lasted a whole FOUR DAYS before it found a new home.
