this is my 68 Mustang resto PROJECT it is a project so dont hate its not finished moment the inside motor and underside of the car is done but it needs paint pretty bad , the motor has a wiesco rotating assimbley the block is bored .30 over it has ported canfield 195 heads with a 3 angle valve job it has a lunati bracket master 2 cam this ones specs were 242 dur 512 lift 110 lobe sep it currently has a smaller cam in it its still a Lunati bracket master 2 but its much smaller , it has comp cam push rods 100th longer summit stage 2 intake with a holley 670 street avenger carb it has proform roller rockers dave myers built trans 8 inch rear 3500 stall . this was filmed with a brokin muffler thats why there is a pop noise (its fixed now) and its ideled way up it was littlery the 2nd time i started the car with that cam in it so dont hate . its just a nasty little street car

These cars are simply timeless. It was born and raised in North Carolina, and spend the majority of its life there. In 2003 it was purchased and shipped up to Michigan where the total restoration began. It was taken down to bare metal, painted, converted to a 289 4 speed, and stored in a heated garage. It was only taken out on the nicest of days. The previous owner is a long time painter and does body work for dealerships. Check out the flawless paint on this Pony! The paint color is called Presidents Blue, which is the original color this car came in. The paint is just stunning, and is accented by beautiful white striping down the sides. This Pony is straight as an arrow, with beautiful margins and super clean lips and jambs. The chrome bumpers on both ends are clean, as are the badges and trim pieces. Magnum 500 wheels and Cooper Cobra Radial G/T's (2-15-70-15 front, 2-35-60-15 rear) sit at all four corners. The car's a heap of fun to admire, but get behind the wheel for what really counts! Look underneath, where a lot of time and money were spent. Bolted to the 289 is a 4 speed Top Loader transmission, a recently painted and balanced driveshaft and a bulletproof, open Ford 8" rear end. You'll find a new gas tank, rebuilt springs and new shocks out back. The floorboards have no patches, no undercoating and no rust holes, and are covered in a nice coat of flat black paint. The frame is solid and rust free as well. The drop down panels and rockers are solid and rust free. Exhaust gases flow into the dual Exhaust system with Thrush mufflers and chrome Exhaust tips. There are SSBC front disc brakes with a brake proportioning valve. The steering gear is new, there are new bolts and new sway bar links. Up front you can see that there is a new starter, new motor mounts, new shocks, new bushings and new ball joints. Nothing flashy, nothing silly...just well engineered, quality components are under here! Pop the hood -- a ton of time and care went in here, too. You'll find a super clean and beautifully painted 289 with a Holley carb, with vacuum secondaries and electric choke, and an Edelbrock aluminum intake. The chrome air cleaner and fend aluminum valve covers add some eyeball to the motor compartment. The rebuilt radiator has new hoses. The alternator has also been rebuilt and sits above a stainless steel harmonic balancer. There is a new fuel pump, new solenoid and new SSBC power Booster and master cylinder. Everything from the hood hinges and the underside of the hood, to the core support and the inner fenders, has a very nice paint job. The combination runs well, and it looks great, too! Inside, you'll find a comfortable place to spend some decent miles. The two tone blue interior looks fantastic. You're holding on to a very cool, new Hurst shifter. Everything from the dash to the carpet, headliner to the seat covers looks great. This is one comfortable and clean Pony! Ready for a road trip? We just had a 442 very similar to this: Black, built drivetrain, clean cosmetics and a no-nonsense, drive anywhere demeanor. It lasted a whole FOUR DAYS before it found a new home.
