Bugatti Type 35 B - Very loud start up!! 1 of 45 ever build!! 1080p HD
I recorded this beautiful blue Bugatti Type 35 B during Concours d'Elegance Antwerp. It was the most successful of the Bugatti racing models. The Type 35B featured a roots type Supercharger. The final version of the Type 35 series was the Type 35B of 1927. Originally named Type 35TC, it shared the 2.3 L engine of the Type 35T but added a large Supercharger like the Type 35C. Output is 175 hp (126 kW) with upgraded compressor and 45 examples were made. A Type 35B won the 1929 French Grand Prix. Thanks for watching and feel free to leave a comment behind. /Hans

Auto Union and Mercedes W165 engine starts, LOUD!
Goodwood Festival of Speed FOS 2011, Auto Union Type C & D and Mercedes W165 engine starts. Awesome sounds, very loud! Auto Union drivers: Nick Mason and Hans-Joachim Stuck. Mercedes Silver Arrow W165 Chassis 449547 was the second of the two W165s completed for the 1939 Tripoli Grand Prix. It was considered the slower of the two cars and Lang was sent out in it with an unfavourable strategy. He nevertheless dominated the race and if he had wanted, he could have lapped his 'team leader' in the closing stages. As mentioned the car was only tested and demonstrated after its debut victory. It remained dormant for over fifty years and is still only very rarely seen outside of Stuttgart. Celebrating the 75th anniversary of the 'Silver Arrows,' it is seen here at one of those rare outings, during the 2009 Retromobile in Paris. Auto Union Type C Mercedes-Benz domination in Grand Prix ended with the Auto Union Typ C. It took a few years to get it right, but Ferdinand Porsche's daring design with a mid-mounted V16 finally won. It claimed many victories from 1936 to 1938 until the three-liter formula was laid out for 1939. Horch, Audi, DKW and Wanderer created Auto Union with the help of Ferdinand Porsche and Adolf Rosenberger. Along with building passenger cars, a goal of the new company was to enter Grand Prix. They did so in 1934 with a daring mid-engined race car called the Typ A. This evolved into the slightly larger Typ B the following year and the Typ C was fitted with a much larger engine for 1936. The Type-C was a third evolution of Auto Union's racecar. It primarily competed with Mercedes-Benz but also raced against Alfa Romeo's 12C-36, the Maserati V8RI and Bugatti 59/50. Type-Cs won six victories in 1936 and made Bernt Rosermeyer world champion

Starting the 1909 Blitzen-Benz, UNEDITED, @ Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance
The Blitzen-Benz was purpose built to do just one thing, to break speed records (not racing), and it did repeatedly from 1909 through 1911. (Edited version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ga2HtUHzUuw ) Its speed of 228.1km/h (141.73mph) on April 23rd, 1911, driven by Bob Burman at Daytona Beach, stood as a record until 1919. Twice the speed of the fastest airplane, (12 April, 1911, Alfred Leblanc @ 69.442mph/111.801kph in a Blériot Blériot) and even shattering the record speed of 210km/h set by a locomotive in 1903. This record was not even officially broken in an airplane until 1920! Of the six originally built, this is one of only two that exist today, and is displayed at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, Germany. While the extended and nuanced effort required to start the Blitzen-Benz on a cool coastal morning can try the patience of some viewers, its historical significance and ground-breaking engineering brilliance still place it amongst the greatest motor-vehicle achievements of all time, and the dozens witnessing this effort felt it was one of the highlights of many great moments at Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance 2011. Here's a great collection of vintage and modern images of the Blitzen-Benz and other historic speed record contenders: http://www.flickriver.com/photos/tags/blitzenbenz/interesting/ Specs: displacement 21500 cc / 1312.0 in³ bore 185 mm / 7.28 in stroke 200 mm / 7.87 in compression 5.8:1 power 149.1 kw / 200 bhp @ 1600 rpm specific output 9.3 bhp per litre bhp/weight 137.93 bhp per tonne

My apologies to all who commented on my first attempt with this video. I had to take it down because of a big mistake I made. My only cover is that I'm getting old and stupid.

tuned Nissan GTR with over 1200 HP!
This was a special presentation of that infamous car for the members of the GTROC (www.gtroc.org) during the GTROC Japan Tour 2012. The TRUST company was so kind to invite the GTROC to come and visit the TRUST facility and have a first hand look at the unbelievable GTR 35RX Bensopra. Just a few days after we stood around the car at the Tokyo Auto Salon we had this great opportunity to watch the car exclusively...but not only were we allowed to watch at every detail, no we were even invited to take a seat in the ultra tight race seat and hit the throttle of that monster. Thank you very much TRUST/ GReddy! NEW VIDEO of the Bensopra Revving...watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2NQLrruc4s

1960 Peterbilt Hotrod Truck called Piss'd Off Pete
While I was at SEMA 2009 a captured a video of Piss'd Off Pete's engine being revved up in front of a huge SEMA crowd just down from the Autogeek.net booth. This is Jay Leno's 1960 chopped Peterbilt with a 852ci two-stroke Detroit Diesel twin-supercharged V12 mated to an Allison 4-speed automatic transmission from a Greyhound bus. The engine produces 500 horsepower and nearly 1000 lb-ft torque with a red line of just 2,800 rpm. Built by the Blastolene Brothers. See more pictures at www.autogeekonline.net

2011 Mercedes-Benz Silver Arrow Concept
For the 2011 Los Angeles Design Challenge, which was seeking to find the most spectacular new film car for Hollywood, the designers from the Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design Studios in Sindelfingen (Germany) and Carlsbad (USA), have joined the ranks of the screen-writers. The designers at the Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design Studio in Carlsbad, California have created a Hollywood-style homage for Mercedes-Benz to 125 years of innovation in automotive technology and design. The leading roles are played by two high-tech characters which have been instrumental in reconciling safety and stylish design in automobiles: the Mercedes-Benz Silver Arrow cult racing car and crash test dummies. The film "Silver Lightning" is set in the near future, in an age of artificial intelligence. Two crash test dummies by the names of Hans05 and Franz02 take on evil ruler Dr. Crash-Barrier to save their beloved Mercedes Silver Arrow. They engage in an action-packed, nerve-jangling duel with the ruthless battering ram before finally outfoxing him. The Mercedes-Benz Silver Arrow Concept is a low-lying sculpture on wheels. A feat of technical innovation is the diagonal, hubless roller which allows steering in all directions. The futuristic Silver Arrow's proportions are reminiscent of the legendary sports car from the late 1930s and the Uhlenhaut SLR from the 1950s.
