2010-2013 Chevrolet Camaro SS/RS Drag Racing Racelegal.com 8-24-2012
Friday night race your ride at qualcomm stadium drag race your chevrolet Camaro 5th generation ss/rs v8 and v6.
Based on the 2006 Camaro Concept and 2007 Camaro Convertible Concept, production of the fifth-generation Camaro was approved on 10 August 2006. Oshawa Car Assembly produces the new Camaro which went on sale in spring of 2009 as a 2010 model year vehicle.
Production of the coupé began on March 16, 2009, in LS, LT, and SS trim levels. LS and LT models are powered by a 3.6 L (220 cu in) V6 producing 312 hp for the 2010 & 2011 model mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic with manual shift. The SS is powered by the 6.2 L (376 cu in) LS3 V8 producing 426 hp (318 kW) and is paired with a 6-speed manual. The automatic SS gets the L99 V8 with 400 hp (300 kW). The RS appearance package is available on both the LT and SS and features 20-inch wheels with a darker gray tone, halo rings around xenon headlamps, a unique spoiler, and red RS or SS badges.
On April 1, 2010, the Camaro was named the World Car Design of the Year at the World Car of the Year Awards.
In late January 2011, the production of 2011 Camaro Convertibles started. The first going to Rick Hendrick via Barret-Jackson Car Auction. Convertibles had the same options as the coupé (engines, RS, SS, etc.). The Camaro Convertible features an aluminium brace over the engine assembly, and under the transmission. Due to the 2011 Fukushima earthquake, certain pigment colors were not available to make certain colors for both the coupé and convertible.
On November 2011, the export version (excluding Japanese version) of the Camaro was introduced after a two-year delay. The delay was due to several factors, including the unexpected high demand and strained production capacity. The export version has completely different tail lamps with integrated reverse and amber turn signal lamps, larger external rear view mirrors with integrated side turn signal repeaters, "cleaner" rear bumper appearance (without reverse light inserts), and a few other changes as to comply with ECE regulations.
The 2012 model year marks the 45th anniversary of the Camaro and an edition is offered in a "Carbon Flash" color only. The V6 is updated to a 3.6 L "LFX" engine producing 323 horsepower. The SS model received an upgrade to the suspension system. All models receive the RS spoiler and taillight details, wheel-mounted volume and radio controls, and Bluetooth connectivity controls as standard. Chevrolet announced the new 2012 ZL1 Camaro will have a 6.2L LSA supercharged V8 and will produce 580 hp (430 kW). The LSA motor is the same used in the Cadillac CTS-V and makes it the fastest production Camaro ever produced. Some other features include 2-stage Exhaust, addition of suede seats, steering wheel and shift knob, and ZL1-exclusive 20" aluminium wheels.

Truck Fest 2013: Smokey Big Rigs Burnouts & Drag Racing Revealed
( http://www.TFLtruck.com ) When you think of a Big Rig Semi...you probably
don't immediately think of drag racing...or do you? This weekend at
Bandimere Speedway just outside of Denver, Colorado hundreds of Big Rig
Semi trucks lined up on the drag strip to see which one is the kind of the
mile high drag strip and which one is the fastest mile high pickup
dragster. Can a big rig run a sub 20 second quarter mile? You bet. Can a
big rig run a sub 15 mile....no problem. Can a Big Rig run a sub 10 second
time? You'll have to watch the video to find out. In another fun and
informative TFLtruck video we see what happens when the Big Rig Semi Trucks
line up behind the Christmas Tree.

2010 Camaro SS Birthday Surprise

excellent condition. You might also be surprised to learn that he still
hasn't gotten any tickets. We're very proud of the responsible young man he
Apr 2012 -- Well, Shane is now 17 and after 23,000 miles I'm happy to
report that he still hasn't had any accidents or tickets. He'll be a
senior next year and he's considering a career in automotive design. We'll
be posting an update video soon!!
Jan 2011 -- Shane has recently turned 16 and put more than 4,000 miles on
the car without ANY incidents. He takes outstanding care of the vehicle
and has grown to become a very responsible and mature teenager.
Feb 2010 -- My wife and I ordered a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS as a surprise birthday
gift for our fifteen year old son. This was a complete surprise and he
had absolutely no idea that the car was his. On another note, I appreciate
everyone's concern for his well-being, however I think it is more
responsible for a parent to teach a teenager how to drive than to pretend
that they're not going to drive fast. The car is not the danger; an
inexperienced driver is usually what causes injury or death, regardless of

'67 Crusher Camaro vs '70 Super Bee 1,500-Mile Burnout-Fest! - Roadkill Episode 19
On this episode of Roadkill, it's Freiburger in the Super Bee versus
Finnegan in the '67 Camaro as the guys make the trip
from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City and back to go race at the Midnight
Drags at Rocky Mountain Raceways in hopes of running the Bee on Nitrous for the first time since the Hemi was
installed. Which car will work best over 1,500 miles of mayem in three
The 700hp, blown Crusher Camaro is HOT ROD's longest-term
project car, surviving 20 years at the magazine. David Freiburger's 675hp
Hemi 1970 Dodge Super Bee is his first car, having been with him 30 years.
Both cars suffer from magazine-project-car syndrome: getting brief spurts
of attention followed by long periods of neglect. For the first time in
years, both cars were running and driving at the same time.
The Crusher Camaro is a
'67 model that was purchased for $700 in 1994 during California's
car-crushing program; it was rescued from the parking lot of a junkyard
where it was about to be handed in for crushing. It's been through a number
of engines in its time at HOT ROD magazine, and the most recent is a 489ci
bi-block (4.280 bore, 4.250 stroke) with 9.3:1 compression. It has a small,
224-at-0.050 Comp hydraulic roller cam, Holley oval-port heads, and a
Weiand 8-71 Supercharger with two Holley
850HP carbs. The engine makes 700 hp and 720 lb-ft on 5 psi Boost, but is tame enough to drive anywhere.
The transmission is a Gearstar 4L85E that's really awesome, and the Ford
9-inch is loaded with 3.50 gears. The car is styled with Center Line Auto
Drags and a nose-high stance to look like a street machine of the early
¹80s. It has run 10.60 at 125 in the quarter-mile in the same trim seen in
Freiburger's ¹70 Dodge Super Bee is powered by a 10:0:1-compression, 484ci
Hemi with ported iron cylinder heads and a Comp solid roller camshaft. It
also uses a Holley Dominator carb on a custom dual-plane intake manifold by
Dick Landy, whose shop built the long-block in 1995. It made 675 hp on the
engine Dyno, but in
the car is has smaller headers, fairly restrictive Exhaust, and a mechanical fan that pull it down
to around 600. The trans is a Gearstar 727 Torqueflite backed by a Gear
Vendors under/overdrive, and the Strange 60 rearend has 3.73 gears (a
little too high for the
natuarally aspirated combo). The car weights 4,050 pounds with the driver,
and has run 11.80 at 118 mph on the motor.
