1989 Mitsubishi Mirage turbo: For one year only, back in 1989, Japan imported 1,500 of these cars onto the U.S. shores. Also, for the same year came the Dodge & Plymouth Colt GT, with all of the same substance that makes up the Mirage. They were powered by the Mitsubishi 4G61t : a 1.6 liter DOHC, non-intercooled & turbocharged 4 cylinder. It's basically the infamous 2.0 liter turbo motor (4G63t) that you find in the Eclipse or Talons, but it has a destroked crank and slightly smaller pistons. For more information on these fun little cars, go to www.4g61t.org
I bought one last year and got it fixed up just this January. After 400 miles, I am more in love with this car! Big plans for the future, indeed! I took this video a couple days after I got it running, and the road conditions sort of prohibit any good display of performance. Can't wait for summer!!!
First video ever.....sorry if I sound like a bumbling dumbass

This is my 98 Mitsubishi mirage turbo
1.5 that i tore down some years ago to completely rebuild. It has a bigger
cam, vitara pistons, ported head, t-25 ported and clipped, tial 38mm
wastegate, lots of other stuff... the car just turned over for the 1st time
saturday and it is dumping a ton of fuel due to the 440 injectors and i do
not have the charge piping etc.. hooked up yet but it sounds great and i
will get an updated vid of it running with Boost as soon as i can.

The 2013 Mitsubishi Mirage picks up where the Colt hatchback left off, and
although it offers decent equipment and low running costs, it is undercut
by value rivals like the Dacia Sandero and Skoda Citigo. In the UK, the
three and five-door hatchback is available with a pair of super-frugal
three-cylinder engines offering outstanding fuel economy. An aerodynamic
design and equipment including stop-start and regenerative braking help
every model deliver less than 99g/km, but both feel underpowered and more
ill-suited to longer motorway journeys. There hill-start assist, anti-lock
brakes and electronic stability control as standard, but the noisy cabin,
uncomfortable ride and questionable quality mean it lags behind its
European rivals in almost every area.
Forced Induction - Supercharger vs. Turbo Charger
This video was made to describe in moderate detail the differences between
Superchargers and turbo Chargers, as well as describing the
components, advantages, and disadvantages to each. Complementing the
speaking track is a slideshow of related pictures and videos. I hope this
video helps some of you curious up and coming mechanics to better
understand methods of forced induction. Please comment maturely, and
