How To: 4 Wire LS Wiring Harness Conversion, Part 3
In part three we finish up the wiring harness, centralize the grounds, and bundle the wires. To finish the harness, all bundles of wires are wrapped in split loom for protection and to retain the factory look. Wiring Harness Pinout: http://lt1swap.com/99-02_vortec_pcm.htm

LSx Truck Intake Shave - Plastic Welding - 5.3 6.0 LS1 LSx
In this video you'll see a LS truck intake being shaved using the process of plastic welding to close the holes. Also, all of the vacuum ports and sensors are relocated to the rear of the intake. =============================== The intake in this video was made for an NA build with high compression and zero intentions of Boosting it. It has also been daily driven for the past 12k miles. For Boost application or even NA, a strong coating of something like 3M panel bond or "Lab Metal" would be a good idea for reinforcement across the top instead of bondo. A YouTuber below posted that he's used "Lab Metal" after shaving his and it has help up to 10 lbs of Boost so far. We're waiting for updates of more Boost. ------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE 4-12-16: It's held up pretty well as I've been daily driving the truck with this intake for over 12k miles now. I took it on the Hot Rod Power Tour last year, which was about 2600 miles for me. I also abuse the truck when possible, for my enjoyment, so I'm not easy on it at all. It participated in the Worlds Largest Burnout Record on the Power Tour in 2015 and I also did another burnout video here for YouTube. I am now noticing fracture lines on some of the plastic welds and have 3 small pin hole vacuum leaks. I'm still daily driving it and don't notice much drivability change, so the leaks aren't that bad, yet. I've started shaving another intake to replace this one. This time I will put a reinforcing two-part epoxy coating over the top of the intake to give it much more strength. I just did an intake like this, with the epoxy, for a customer and he will be installing it soon. The epoxy that I used is called "Panel Bond" by 3M, part #08115. ---------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE: See my update video on this intake. I talk about how it's doing and also a suggestion of how to make it better.
