LSx Top End Tear Down - Head & Intake Removal - PART 2 - 5.3 Squirter Project - LS1
In order, this video would be the second of the "Squirter Project". The first one was of it shooting water out of the spark plug holes. At this point we didn't want to invest in a rebuild and were ready to throw this engine into the trash. But then the idea of the Squirter Project came. We wound up cleaning the crap out, sand papering the rust out of the bores (without removing the pistons) so that the engine would be able fully rotate, slapping the heads back on and running it. It ran so well that we put a cam in it and dropped it into my '92 Camaro to make it to LS Fest 2013. Its currently still running strong and will probably get some Boost put on it before long. It saw 6500rpm a lot and was on the dyne at least 3 times.
