More at http://www.v8.co.nz. This weeks feature car is straight from the cover of NZV8s 50th issue, a 900hp Hemi-powered Road Runner. Immaculate in every way and about as powerful as street cars come, this is one feature car that you won't want to miss. NZV8 Magazine editor Todd Wylie is on hand, and goes over the car pointing out exactly what makes a cover car worthy.
Young Achievers: Last week we bought you the country's fastest 21 year old, this week its the fastest 24 year old - Morice McMillin and his Chev powered Funny Car.
Event: If you prefer a bit of a slower pace, we attended the GM Car Club's annual show to check out a few rides and find out what the GM Club is all about.
440 Road Runner Vs 426 Hemi Challenger
This video was filmed in summer of 1999 and I was 20 years old. In this
video,I was driving my fathers 1969 440 Road Runner and I was paired up
against 1970 426 Hemi Challenger in a heads-up race (no handicap start).
The guy driving the Hemi Challenger was a national champion and the
challenger was also a national record holder for its class. The two cars
ran side by side all the way down the track and in the end I beat him with
a 7.13 to his 7.12. Thats right, I ran slower and beat him...the reason I
won was because I had a perfect .500 reaction time. I tree'd him like it
was nobody's business (only kiddin). Enjoy!!!

(this is the first pass that the Road Runner made with its 493 cid
engine... there is more there after tuning).

1969 Road Runner Drag Race
Making a run against a pretty modified 90's Mustang. Had to give the Mustang more than a whole tree and
run him down at the end of the track. The Mustang did get there first but lost
due to the fact that he broke out by .200 of a second.
The Road Runner went 10.72@ 125 mph.
Very good audio!!!! Enjoy!!!
Test Driving 1969 Plymouth Road Runner 383 V8 4 BBL Four Speed
Be sure to check us out on Facebook at:
I thought you'd like a look at this 1969 Plymouth Road Runner in action.
It's powered by a 383 V8, with an Edelbrock intake, 4 BBL carb, coated
headers, and Air Grabber induction. All the power is being funneled through
a hurst shifted four-speed manual back to an 8 3/4 rear. This car runs out
strong and it's in absolutely immaculate condition. It's as clean in the
engine bay and underneath the car as it is on the outside. The interior
looks showroom new as well. This car is a proven show winner as well. I hop
you find it interesting....thanks for watching!

With a jumping bass and off-beat syncopation, this is straight from
Memphis' Beale Street. The Hammond organ and electric guitar play together
as longtime friends, while the melody changes hands from guitar to organ to
electric piano. 011
