This car looks like a funny car. But when you hear the lope in the idle you know there is a big cam. not like a cummins but a gas guzzeling power house hemi! This car is setup with a parachute to help it stop during drag races. It drove on main street for this cruise night. I think it burns alcohol. The loud Exhaust smelled different. Not like my veggie oil burinig Chevy 6.5 diesel. Some people say WVO stands for wast vegetable oil. When I burn it smells like donuts or hamburgers and fries!

New Zealand's fastest ever drag racer talks to us about the ins and outs of running a nitro funny car. With a best pass of 5.47 @ 264mph, Willy certainly isnt afraid of showing the rest of the nation how things are done.

Speaking of drag racing, this years Top Doorslammer Champion Ross Taylor along with son Jason run us through the details of another one of their cars. Although its another 57 Chev, its certainly not as quick as the Taylor And Taylor car we all know and love.

While down at the Nostalgia Drags we spied a car that certainly doesnt look like it should be on a drag strip; Neil Surtezs awesome rat rod. This Cadillac flathead powered machine sits its belly on the floor and lifts all four wheels off the ground, making it one serious crowd pleaser.

Each year at the Nostalgias a bunch of Aussies are bought over for the locals to go head to head against. We catch up with local drag racer Paul Pins Satler and Aussie John Fleming to watch an epic battle of nostalgia styled front engine dragsters.

1971 Plymouth Roadrunner

This Road Runner has a very nicely aged restoration with a very straight body, and a excellent undercarriage. The frame, floors, trunk, quarters, rockers, fenders, doors, hood, trunk lid, are in very solid condition throughout without any rust holes or blisters. The only blisters I have seen is a couple on the passenger side drip rail. This car was restored years ago and shows very little wear. The paint has a excellent shine on a laser straight body. The interior has the correct bucket seats but have been recovered and do not match the rear. The bumpers are straight but the previous owner chose to paint them inside of rechroming. So there are a few things that can be done but all in all a beautiful car that you can jump right in and enjoy. This is a one year produced road runner that has the look and the power to go along with it!

It's back! The World's Greatest Drag Race returns with nine of the world's best supercars, sports cars, and muscle cars for 2012 facing off in an epic quarter-mile sprint for glory... and ultimate bragging rights! This year's field includes all nine contenders from Motor Trend's 2012 Best Driver's Car competition. We have the Lamborghini Aventador, Nissan GT-R Black Edition, Ford Shelby GT500, McLaren MP4-12C, Jaguar XKR-S, Porsche 911 Carrera S, Subaru BRZ, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series and Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 -- all gathered together on an abandoned airstrip at El Toro Marine Base to find out which car is the fastest.
