Our Porsche 934.5 at the 2011 Spa Classic race. It had rained prior to the race and we made the decision to start on slicks while everyone else stuck with rain tires apart from one RSR (he won). Our strategy would have worked as the track dried up very quickly and every team had to pit for slicks. Our first driver got aggressive too early, no excuse as we were so much faster. He touched the curb on the inside which is like ice when wet, and that was that. The damage is minimal, and we hope to have it back on the track within 1-2 months.

Ferrari Testa Rossa vs. Aston Martin DBR1, Official Simeone Automotive Museum Video
On September 26th, 2009, over 300 spectators were treated to a recreation of the 1958 endurance racing season with an Aston-Martin DBR1 and Ferrari TR250 "Testa Rossa" at the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum in Philadelphia. Both of these cars are very special. The Ferrari is one of only 19 TR 250 "pontoon" fendered cars built. This car, #0710, was the very first "customer" car and was used at the press introduction and in the sales catalog. It was sold to John von Nuemann, the West Coast Ferrari distributor, and was raced at Sebring in 1958 by von Neumann and Ritchie Ginther. Later it was raced extensively on the West Coast by several drivers, including von Neumann's step daughter, Josie. The Aston-Martin has an equally interesting history. It is serial number DBR1/3, one of four ever built. It won the 1958 Nurburgring 1000 km at the hands of Stirling Moss and Jack Brabham. Moss drove it at other races in the 1958-59 season and then it was sold to the Scottish racing team, Border Reivers. The car raced at Le Mans in both 1960 and 1961, driven by racing great Jim Clark. The Ferrari 250 GTO Speaks for Itself
Using hyperbole to describe the 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO is unnecessary. The car speaks for itself. It is one of the last (of thirty-six) Ferrari GTOs ever built. This particular one, chassis #5571, was the first of the Series II bodies. The 3.0L V-12 produces about 300 horsepower and it completed multiple endurance races, winning its class in the Daytona Continental 2000km (this car's first race), Sebring 12 hour, and Nassau TT. The driver is Mr. Derek Hill, who won the Ferrari Challenge International Championship in 1995 and the Formula Dodge West Coast in 1996, and raced a Bugatti EB110 at Le Mans. Additionally, he has a special attachment to this car as it was his dad, Fomula One Champ Phil Hill, that raced it in Daytona and Nassau. But what is the car really like? Well, "It's so hard to describe just how incredible it is to drive this car at speed. I mean, it's really a certain kind of ecstasy."
