Ferrari 250 GTO RG2008

This particular car belongs to Nick Mason, the drummer from Pink Floyd and was filmed here in London where it was fired up to drive around to the trailer that would take it away.

Goodwood Revival 2010, St Mary's Trophy, Race One
Race one of the St Mary's Trophy for saloon cars raced between 1950 and 1959. Martin Brundle was the highlight of the race for me, moving up from 4th place to challenge for the lead in his Austin A35 (car# 1), before contact with the leader punctured a tyre and ultimately put him out of the race. His efforts were more than appreciated by the crowd though! Tom Kristensen took the victory in his first visit to the Revival (driving an Austin A95 Westminster), after a good race with Patrick Watts (in the Volvo Amazon 122S) was cut short by mechanical failure.
Ferrari Testa Rossa vs. Aston Martin DBR1, Official Simeone Automotive Museum Video
On September 26th, 2009, over 300 spectators were treated to a recreation of the 1958 endurance racing season with an Aston-Martin DBR1 and Ferrari TR250 "Testa Rossa" at the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum in Philadelphia.
Both of these cars are very special. The Ferrari is one of only 19 TR 250 "pontoon" fendered cars built. This car, #0710, was the very first "customer" car and was used at the press introduction and in the sales catalog. It was sold to John von Nuemann, the West Coast Ferrari distributor, and was raced at Sebring in 1958 by von Neumann and Ritchie Ginther. Later it was raced extensively on the West Coast by several drivers, including von Neumann's step daughter, Josie.
The Aston-Martin has an equally interesting history. It is serial number DBR1/3, one of four ever built. It won the 1958 Nurburgring 1000 km at the hands of Stirling Moss and Jack Brabham. Moss drove it at other races in the 1958-59 season and then it was sold to the Scottish racing team, Border Reivers. The car raced at Le Mans in both 1960 and 1961, driven by racing great Jim Clark.
Please enjoy this video and come visit the Simeone Museum in Philadelphia for one of our Demonstration Days. There are few, if any, other places in the world you can see cars like these run on a regular basis.

RAC TT Celebration Goodwood Revival 2011
With a grid of the rarest cars in the world and a combined value of more than £200 Million what started as an exciting race became chaos as torrential rain hit the circuit as the driver changes began. Out in front, Kenny Brack and Le Mans legend Tom Kristensen stayed out of trouble to come home first. In Nick Mason's beautiful Ferrari 250 GTO, Mark Hales and Martin Brundle climbed to second but after a perfectly timed pit stop and a stunning drive, Joe Colasacco and Derek Hill took the third step on the podium in the unique Maserati Tipo 151.
