How to unlock hidden e60 5 series sport mode button
www.roskinc.com more how to writeups, review, and purchase cables.
in this video i show you how to unlock the hidden sport mode feature on the
e60 5 series BMW. This requires no coding, and once the cable is installed,
should allow you to activate the sport feature which you can see by SPORT
showing up in the cluster. very noticeable difference and make the ride a
whole lot better. this was done on a 2004 BMW 525i automatic non-sport.
cable is pretty simple to make, for easy video purpose i just ran a long
cable, but can be installed anywhere. results may vary as i only tested on
my e60, so i can only vouch for first hand testing on my own vehicle.
PLEASE use this video as a guide, i assume no responsibility for any damage

i do to my e60
Please like and comment this video if you found it helpful. Coding step by
step videos coming soon if i get enough feedback. more how to and retrofits
for the e60 bmw.
this is a video i made showing the installation of the AUX cable I made on
my 2004 e60 BMW 5 series. this should apply to all e60 BMWS. now in this
install i already pre-routed (or pre-wired) my AUX cable from my glovebox
to the back of the dash. their so many different places to put the Aux
jack, i would leave it up to you to figure that out, long as it routes back
to the back so the pins can be installed on the harness. the car will need
to be coded in order for the cable to work. i programed the car myself with
NCSexpert and a programing cable i purchased off ebay.
any questions on this install, ask and ill try my best to help. if
interested in a cable yourself please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or

TechKenny DIY: How To Replace Your BMW 5 Series (E60) Car Battery
TechKenny's first tutorial on how to replace your car battery. *IMPORTANT,
I was not the person in the video so don't go flaming me, BUT it is highly
recommended to have the iDrive reset or keep it powered during the
installation of a new battery. Modern BMWs are filled with sensitive
electronics including the iDrive system. Going without resetting the
computer will be fine for a few years and will cause no problems, but in
the long run it is a good idea to do the process correctly.
It would be in your best interest to keep the iDrive powered while changing
the battery so that a reset will not be necessary. There is plenty of
information on the forums about this but the way to do this is to hook up
the jumper points under the hood of the car to another car or battery WHILE
you change the battery in the back. This is to ensure that the iDrive
system is constantly powered throughout.
When finished, you should also take your car to a local reputable mechanic
in order to get your battery registered into the iDrive. This is to ensure
that the alternator is programmed to know that a fresh battery was
installed and will supply the correct amount of power to it. Good Luck with
