Over the winter of 2007/2008, Big Red Ram was torn down and rebuilt. The
three year old 540 came out in favor of a pretty radical 580CI. The
transmission was freshen -- and the clutch was just redone prior to the
last race of last season. A new rear chunk, spool, and gears were bought
and set up, and the old one put in the trailer as a spare. Actually there's
a new transmission and shifter on order -- but it isn't in yet. We'll swap
that in and and make some bigger headers mid season.
This is the video of the motor getting fired up after put in the car.
Tomorrow, some loose ends will get finished and the car put on the ground
to get aligned and the wheelie bars installed. The day after we'll take it
to the track.

1969 Dodge Charger Tearing Up The Lawn - Yeee-Haaa!!!
What do you do when you live in a yuppie neighborhood and you own the one
acre lot next door to your house where you ride your four-wheeler and your
loser neighbors send you anonymous letters in the mail asking you not to
ride your own four-wheeler on your own property? You go buy a 1969 Dodge
Charger and you rip it around on the same one acre lot and see what the
neighbors do then! So what happened? I never had another problem with any
Dirt Cheap Rat Rod! 1968 Charger Buildup and Thrash - Roadkill Ep. 23
Freiburger and Finnegan think this is the best episode so far! It's the
longest, too. This show has it all: a Mad-Max-vibe 1968 Dodge Charger built
with motorhome parts, sideways Dukes-style action, lots of low-buck
wrenching, hilarious snafus, and cameo appearances by the Macho Grande from
episode 8, the '66 Buick Special convertible from a pre-Roadkill episode,
the ramp truck from episode 20, and the Fury from episode 22. Enjoy the
last Roadkill of 2013!
Roadkill appears every fourth Friday on the Motor Trend channel.

(Hey I'm a gearhead...what can I say??) over the 25 years I've had her,
from blown 440's to Nitrous motors to a
couple big block 500" strokers. This 517 4.375" bore x 4.300" stroke is the
best and baddest of the bunch.
