Goodwood Revival 2010, St Mary's Trophy, Race One
Race one of the St Mary's Trophy for saloon cars raced between 1950 and
1959. Martin Brundle was the highlight of the race for me, moving up from
4th place to challenge for the lead in his Austin A35 (car# 1), before
contact with the leader punctured a tyre and ultimately put him out of the
race. His efforts were more than appreciated by the crowd though! Tom
Kristensen took the victory in his first visit to the Revival (driving an
Austin A95 Westminster), after a good race with Patrick Watts (in the Volvo
Amazon 122S) was cut short by mechanical failure.
Sideways in a D-type! Win Percy Jaguar race action at Goodwood
This DVD I created some years ago (see http://www.xkd505.com ) has sold
over a 1000 copies and is a really exciting watch and listen - half of it
covers 14 laps of a flat-out race at Goodwood in a Jaguar D-type taken with
a cockpit camera and with a full added commentary from the legendary Win
Percy. The car is the recreated ex-Mike Hawthorn 1955 Le Mans winner,
chassis XKD 505 - wind the volume up for this clip!
St. Mary's Trophy Races, Goodwood Revival 2012
A collection of footage from the St. Mary's Trophy races for saloon cars of
the fifties at the 2012 Goodwood Revival. These hugely varied tin-tops
always provide exciting on-track action and this year featured a fine
battle between cars as flamboyant as Mk1 Jaguars, Austin A40s, a fine BMW
700 and the unique V8, rear engined Tatra.

Tony Dron in-car v Anthony Reid at 2008 Goodwood Revival
Breathless St Mary's trophy 2008 battle between Tony Dron (Ford Zodiac) and
Anthony Reid (Jaguar Mk1), from the point of view of Dron. Shame it only
lastest a few laps, but this is two seasoned racers dicing for the lead
without ever looking like they were going to make contact. Exciting stuff!
Hopefully Octane Magazine don't mind me sharing this. Here's the original:
