Lotus 7 locost pull with Evo X 10

Let it be known I cheated. I started in 2nd and he started in 3rd. He was catching up fast. That is one FAST FAST evo. On a Dyno log he makes 458 at the wheels. Its amazing what a GT30/76R size FP red turbo, and 31 psi on E85 will do for a evo x. Both cars are VERY quick. The following was a spirited acceleration from 5 mph to 45 mph on a 45 mph road. :-)

Well I pulled all the bolts and when I came out There were chunks in my fluids in the pan and they drained out I aint all depressed cause I seen this before. I got my books and my wrench and we'll do it once more. I sprang into action like lightning disassembled I whistled while I worked and my hands never trembled If anything you could say that this bling is rare, and when I saw what broke I stained my underwear. I turned off the air compressor 'bout 7 or 8 And I yelled to crankcase "Yo holmes, smell ya later" I looked at my internals they were finally there To sit on my workbench and stink up the air. Here's the 48,000 mile-old 7-bolt I blew up summer 2011 after over 150 drag passes, a half dozen Dyno sessions, 4 transmissions, 3 clutches and 10 years of hard all-weather use.

Lotus (Caterham) Super Seven First Ride
Poor car had been sitting for quite a while. Drained out the old gas, put in some fresh high octane. Did an oil and filter change. Cranked it for a while with plugs out until oil pressure registered. After that it started right away and I got to take it for a run around the (startled) neighbourhood. Still needs a tuneup and maybe fiddling with jets or timing/advance curve. Engine is 1700 Ford crossflow in "Super Sprint" tune. You can really hear the straight cut gears! Camera is latest Go Pro HD mounted on roll bar. I will try it again with the open case so we can hear more engine noise.
