Hyundai Motor America today introduced the all-new Azera in a North American debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Azera is the fifth vehicle to adopt the company's signature Fluidic Sculpture design language.Tucson, Accent, Elantra, Sonata and Azera now all have a modern, sleek, sophisticated style, creating the illusion of constant motion. This flagship Fluidic Sculpture sedan also features a more powerful Lambda II 3.3-liter GDI engine, six-speed transmission, best-in-class combined fuel economy of 23 miles per gallon and a wide range of advanced safety equipment.
The Lambda II 3.3-liter GDI engine is the heart of the 2012 Azera. It produces a best-in-class specific output of 88.8 horsepower per liter, while having the smallest displacement V6 in the segment. This engine has a high-pressure direct injection system (over 2,200 psi), which dramatically increases power and torque, while reducing fuel consumption and emissions. This system eliminates the need for a large displacement V6 engine and increases the compression ratio from 10.4 to 11.5 for greater thermal efficiency and output. It also features all-aluminum construction, four valves per cylinder, piston cooling jets, roller timing chain, CrN Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coating on the top ring chamfer and Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing (D-CVVT) for a broad power spread. A three-stage Variable Intake System (VIS) further broadens its power curve to improve the vehicle's off-the-line acceleration and passing performance. EPA fuel economy estimates for the Azera are 20 mpg city / 29 mpg highway / 23 mpg combined.
2011 Hyundai Elantra In Depth Review, Start Up/Test Drive, and Overview of Features
NOTE: I am trying a new format for these once a week videos, I normally don't talk as much but I figured since I knew a lot about the new elantra I would try it out on this. I'm still learning and adapting to this weekly review style and it'll take time to get better, any constructive criticism is appreciated, thanks! In this video I bring everyone the all new Hyundai Elantra, my first video on the Elantra Limited was a huge hit when it first came out so I thought I would bring the GLS specificially with the navigation option (which the limited I filmed did not have). I go through pretty much the entire car in detail discussing styling, performance, interior room, as well as take a detailed look at all the options for this car as well as other model designations and the limited trim. The limited does come with standard leather, heated front and rear seats, 17in alloy rims, and much more. The elantra, being classified as a midsize car boasts more room than even the nissan maxima, combined with all the standard features, optional ones, and even class firsts such as the heated seats, the elantra makes a terrific buy with 29/40 mpg and a 10 yr 100k mile warranty.

2012 Hyundai All New Azera, Grandeur (HG) (It's not spy shot)
We have just gotten a hold of the latest spy pictures of the next-generation Hyundai Azera/Grandeur, code-named "HG". Due to be launched later this year (though word is that unveiling might occur within a month), the new Grandeur is gearing up for a significant redesign for the 2012 model year.
As of this posting, details on the new Grandeur are relatively slim. We do know that it will share the front-drive configuration platform with the Kia K7/Cadenza sedan. Powertrain details are ballpark guesses at this point, but judging by the new Grandeur's position in the Hyundai line-up - slotting between the Sonata and the Genesis - we can definitely expect the 3.5L or 3.8L Lambda II V6 (280-300 hp) powerplants as plausible options. With Hyundai's efforts for better fuel economy, the turbocharged gasoline direct-injected (GDI) 4-cylinder found in the Sonata is also a possible candidate.
In addition to the new Azera/Grandeur, we have a lone spy photo (found after the jump) of a Hyundai prototype that we can't quite put a finger on as to what it is. The subcompact test car is a near dead-ringer of the already-unveiled 2012 Accent/Verna, yet the front fascia sporting a new design arouses questions as to what the prototype is really. Leave us your guesses as to what it might be in the comments below!
