Muscle Cars, Pianos, and One Rare Cougar

You might not expect to find a collection of gleaming muscle cars in the back warehouse of a piano shop, but that's just what you'll find at AZ Piano, owned by Jason Sipe of Phoenix. He is currently restoring an ultra-rare 1969 Mercury Cougar 428 Cobra Jet, 4-speed, drag pak car with a power sunroof. Naturally, we had to meet up with Jason while we were in the area and check out his cars. Visit our website at http://www.cougarpartscatalog.com

Classic Cougar Pickin' with Scott Taylor (Part I)
On our trip to AZ, we paid a visit to Scott Taylor to have a look at his collection of Cougars. Scott is a well-known Cougar enthusiast, is the registrar for 428 Cougars, and has a sizable collection of classic Mercury Cougars. Many of his project cars are for sale (most of the cars shown in this video). If you have questions about these cars, or have any information on a newly discovered 428 Cougar, email Scott at 428cougarguy@cox.net View Part II here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0Bl5MiO7FA Subscribe to our channel for more! The Story Of Cougar 1: The First Mercury Cougar
A while back, we sat down with Jim Pinkerton, the owner of the very first production Mercury Cougar (1967 model year), a.k.a. Cougar 1. We hit the "record" button on our cameras and he let loose with an epic tale of how the car was first sold in Canada, its subsequent life there, and how it eventually got into his hands - an intriguing story! He also goes over some of the unique features of the car, and some of the restoration techniques used. It's a truly beautiful factory show car with more attention to detail than the 'average' Cougar. Special thanks to Jim Pinkerton for his time, and for providing most of the images you see in this video from his own collection of Cougar memorabilia. Rare Model A Ford US Mail Car.
Saw this cool looking US mail car from the 1930's today in a private collection. It was used to deliver mail during the harsh Nabraska winters. The owner said there was two of these built back in the day. It looks like a Model A coupe body sitting on a 1 Ton model AA frame and running gear. It would be fun to take for a spin.

Portland Swap Meet - April Fools 2011
Since the famous Portland Swap meet fell around April 1st this year, we had to take advantage of the opportunity. Don (owner of West Coast Classic Cougar) disguised himself and got some undercover, candid feedback from customers and friends from all over the swap meet. Not only was it a good source of survey data, but the swap meet itself was a lot of fun, and we found lots of Cougar parts! Crushing Cars at West Coast Classic Cougar
CONTEST HAS ENDED We ran a contest to see who could guess how much the pile of 40 cars, the junk-filled truck, and the old forklift shown in this video total in either tonnage or dollar value (at $260/ton). The closest guess, without going over the actual amount, won a $100 gift certificate in our online store ( http://www.cougarpartscatalog.com ). -- Contest ended May 1, 2011 -- Also note that West Coast Classic Cougar no longer has parts for 1974-79 Cougars. Best Paint Touch-up Tricks: Mercedes G55
This is one of the worst key scratches I have ever seen. This car needed to be repainted, but I thought I would give it a shot...nothing to lose. It covered 3 separate door panels with varying depth levels. 98% of the 9 feet was through the clear coat, paint, base, and into the substrate. EXTREMELY bad scratch. In this episode, I discuss multiple ways to approach this type of paint damage. I want to be crystal clear: THIS CAR NEEDED TO BE REPAINTED FOR 90-100% satisfaction. My techniques here, with the understanding of the customer, had the best-case final results of 70% to 75% "better or touched-up" appearance. See how it turned out. Thx for watching! -L

Is It Numbers Matching? - Cougar by the Numbers
In this video we delve into the complex topic of decoding tags, date codes, and other numbers to check if your classic Ford / Mercury is "numbers matching," using Don's newly acquired '69 Mercury Cougar XR7 428 Cobra Jet convertible as an example. While we haven't covered the subject 100% in this video (to keep it concise) we think this covers most of the major components and gives you the knowledge you need to figure out what your numbers mean. As mentioned in the video, we highly recommend Marti Auto Works, especially his Tagbook, which made this video possible. 2001 Mercury Cougar V6 Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Tour
In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2001 Mercury Cougar V6. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

2 (Abandoned Cars in Dubai part 2)
