375 hp, 2.6 Liter V8- neighborhood drive
The 375 hp, 2.6 Liter H1V8 is very well mannered and is easily driven on
Some have commented that this engine would have little torque at low rpm
and believe that a 10,000 rpm red-lined engine would be high strung and
difficult to drive on the street. Actually the engine is very well behaved
at low speed and there is plenty of torque and power below 5000 rpm. This
video shows the low speed characteristics of the engine during a drive thru
the neighborhood. Note that the rear wheels easily broke loose below 5000
rpm in 2nd gear. For reference, 2nd gear tops out at 92 mph and max.
torque is at 7500 rpm.

245k miles Cadillac Deville (V8 Engine) gets 28.4 MPG
My Cadillac Deville has 245k miles on it. I never had any problem with it
since I bought it in 2003. I just came back from a long trip to los vegas.
The car get over 28 MPG on highway.
Everything is orignial except the tires and brake pads/rotors and blower
motor. The blower motor was faild in 2005. I took the bad motor out and
found it was made in Japan.
New Toy Walk-around
Just a quick video I took with my cam phone walking around my newest toy
with it idling, then getting in and revving the engine a little ;) It's a
2000 Firebird Formula WS6 6-spd. The only mods I know for sure are
long-tube headers and the cats blown out, not sure of the Exhaust. Everything was done by the first owner
(I'm the third).
I bought the car in June 2007. Brought it home one day. The next day I
drove it from south Louisiana to Tennessee for a car show... had a blast
