1969 Pontiac Firebird Convertible SOLD by Erics Muscle Cars

http://www.ericsmusclecars.com/car.php?car=419 is proud to offer a super fun cruizin' drop top. This 1969 Pontiac Firebird is a very nice driver with plenty of eyeball with the one year only body style which is accented nicely with candy maroon paint, Black top (new boot), and Black interior with Buckets and console. The car is a pleasure to drive with the high speed performance radials which are mounted on the Torque Thrust wheels for a look that is all of it's own. This car is a nice cruiser/driver which our FAIR market price at EMC reflects.

1972 Pontiac Tran Am HO SOLD @ Eric's Muscle Cars
http://www.ericsmusclecars.com/car.php?car=423 is proud to offer 1 OF 458 PRODUCED PHS DOCUMENTED NUMBERS MATCHING DRIVETRAIN SERVICE REPLACEMENT BLOCK M22 ROCK CRUSHER 4 SPEED (SERIAL # STAMP) 7F6 HEADS AND Exhaust MANIFOLD ON SHELF ORIGINAL CARBURATOR AND INTAKE ORIGINAL INTERIOR (EXCEPT CARPET) Due to a 1972 UAW strike, at which GM was the target, Firebird and Trans Am production was devastated. All told only 1286 Trans Ams were completed V(828 automatics, & 458 4-speeds). At the plant, over 2,100 Firebird and Camaro models were in various stages of assembly when the strike ended, but as these cars would not meet the new 1973 Federal standards, these cars were all scrapped ! The 1972 Trans Am production would hold the distinction of being the second lowest in history. A new cylinder head rested atop the 4-bolt block, this had a new casting number of 7F6 and was only used in 1972 and had special combustion chambers. The good part about these new heads is that they still used the horsepower producing oval ports and the accompanying large 2.11" intake and 1.77" inch Exhaust valves found in big inch Pontiac high performance engines of the past. The 068 camshaft was back for another run in the TA, and the lift remained at .408/.406 inches for intake and Exhaust. As in 1971, there was only one engine available in the Trans Am and it was subject to same hand selection of components in order to make the engines as close to the tolerances laid out in the blueprints. This engine could be mated to a pair of transmissions, the infamous "M22 Rock Crusher" Muncie 4-speed close ratio manual transmission or the sturdy 3-speed turboHydramatic 400 automatic transmission. This was the 1st year for the honey comb grille, and the last year of a functional shaker hood. The colors once again remined limited to Cameo White with blue stripes or Lucerne Blue topped with a white stripe. Lucerne Blue would have it's swan song in 1972 as a blue would not return to the Trans Am line up until 1974. The "racing' stripes that were first intoduced in '69 also made their last appearance in 1972 and no Trans Am would be striped as such until the 15th anniversary T/A in 1984.

At the sides of those seats, good looking black door panels, which are set of by correct stainless trim and correct chrome door and window handles, hang over fresh "Fisher" branded sill plates and integrated aftermarket kick panel speakers. And below those seats, fade-free black carpet rides under chrome trimmed foot pedals and heavy duty, Pontiac branded floor mats. In front of the driver, a deluxe steering wheel spins satin finished spokes between a bright PMD horn button and a weather-free wood rim. And at the back of the cockpit, a tight black cowl cover hangs over a fully restored trunk which features a full-size spare tire, a correct jack assembly, a correct houndstooth mat and a correct decklid decal. The Firebird was introduced the same year as the automaker's platform-sharing model, the Chevrolet Camaro. The first generation Firebirds had a characteristic Coke bottle styling. Unlike its cousin, the Chevrolet Camaro, its bumpers were integrated into the design of the front end and its rear "slit" taillights were inspired by the Pontiac GTO. Both a two-door hardtop and a convertible were offered through the 1969 model year. The 1969 model received a major facelift with a new front end design made of an Endura bumper housing the headlights and grilles. The instrument panel and steering wheel were revised. The ignition switch was moved from the dashboard to the steering column with the introduction of GM's new locking ignition switch/steering wheel. VIN 223379U100518 This beautiful Firebird runs nice and strong. It came out of Michigan and has had a body off rebuild. The car has never been races, but is a very fun driver that gets the looks! It has won several 1st place trophies and awards in its class at local car shows. 1969 Pontiac Firebird 400
This is my 1969 Pontiac Firebird 400 project-Plans for this car are drum to disc brakes upgrades first! You can hear the old drums squeeking as I brake! suspension, interior, and house of kolor candy apple red paint with black rally stripes! Audio system and interior are already being worked on. Also im planning to lower it 2 inches all around. Im debating on wether to paint the wheels black or match them kandy apple red? or try to combine both black and candy red for the rims? What do you think? Engine is a freshly rebuilt 400 block, .060 bored, hooker headers, holley carb, holley electric fuel pump, and dual flowmasters. For now not focusing on the engine but I've been thinking about rebuilding a faster 400 and upgrading the automatic transmission to a manual shift 5 speed. Not trying to build a car show quality or a superfast car, mostly a cruiser and once in a while fun at the drag strip.
