A Girl and her Race Car- Bugeye Vintage Race Footage
A short film featuring Cana and her race car taking a nice Sunday drive, turning some 1:26 laps at Blackhawk Farms Raceway with the VSCDA. It is a heart warming tale, brilliantly shot and edited. We fully suspect invitations to Sundance and Cannes to be forthcoming.
The Loudest Bugeye Sprite in Vintage Racing?
Video from three races of my poor little 1959 Sprite that was wrongfully
accused of being "too loud" and cost me a 1st place finish at Blackhawk
Farms Raceway with the VSCDA. Take a listen and you be the judge. Warning:
I have been told this little 1275cc car is capable of deafening mere

Highlights of in car video during the 2009 Lime rock vintage festival.
This event is held every Labor day weekend and is a must visit event for
any sports car enthusiast. Lime rock park is a special place. I think of
this race track as being the birthplace of road racing in America, along
with Watkins Glenn and Bridgehampton.
Sorry about the chickens at the end. Somehow it does not seem right that a
racing video should end with chickens, but oh well, that is the way it

14 year old girl wins her first asphalt sprint car race ever!
Description by Michelle Sprague of SpartanSpeedway.com
Fourteen-year old Taylor Ferns of Shelby Township won the feature for the
inaugural running of the Sawyers Wingless Sprints, at the Spartan Speedway,
on April 30th. Jimmy McCune and Mike Astraukas brought the nine car field
down for the green, with McCune taking a commanding lead in the opening
laps. Ferns worked her way around Astraukas, as Derek Snyder took third on
lap five. Tom Fedewa took the high groove and worked his way into third by
lap 10. With McCune still in the lead, Ferns was slowly but surely reeling
in the leader with Fedewa trying to close the gap between himself and
Ferns. Ferns caught McCune on lap 17, in traffic, and dove to the low side
of McCune for the lead on lap 19. Ferns gave him a little nudge, got him
out of shape and took away the top spot. At the line, it was Taylor Ferns
for her first ever feature win and her first trip to the Corrigan Oil
Winners Circle. McCune, Fedewa, Snyder, and Chris Hettinger rounded out the
top five. Astraukas, Doug Dietsch, Jim Heeney and Mark Strpko finished
sixth through ninth, respectively. Deitsch and McCune took heat wins for
In my (Pyro60000) personal opinion, Taylor should show more patience. Many
times you can see her running into the dirt while trying to get under
someone. When you are that fast, take the high line, or wait for a low
opening that doesn't stir up dirt.
The contact with McCune was also a result of impatience. She would have
passed him eventually, (I heard he ran out of brakes) she didn't have to
hit him like that.
Vintage Racing Crash Roll cages are good
This is Mark with Zapata in second place of the last race at Roebling Road.
Listen close and you can hear his rear axle snap. At that point he can't
do anything but hold on. Mark is fine. This is a good reason to over
build safety into any racecar.
We are making a Documentary movie about vintage racing. Go to

Vintage Racing - 1950s Indy Cars startup and race. LOUD!!!
Chris Ashworth records a series of 1950s Indy Cars at Michigan
International Speedway. This was a vintage racing event that was associated
with the Concours d'elegance of America, where these cars were on display
after this event.
This event was incredible! I got to wander in the pits and the garage area.
You will hear these cars starting up right from the tailpipes, and you will
see them driving on the track from the pits.
