Cookie gets excited! - IMS turbo Ute
Chris Cookson's Commodore SS Ute runs 10.82/133 in full street trim at
Calder Park. The Boosted stock
bottom end original 346ci LS1 is backed by a factory 6-speed manual.
Testing a prototype 9in 3-link rear end by Independent Motorsports, the car
was then driven over two hours back home to Gippsland. Making around 430kW
to the wheels on 9.5psi Boost thanks
to a Garrett T51R turbocharger, the
Holden was using E85 fuel.
Holden V8 stroker Ute - ITS355
James' 355 fuel injected Holden powered Commodore SS Ute is back at the
track for the first time using a new engine combination. The Molinari Race
Engines stroker V8 is good for 552hp/475ft.Ib naturally aspirated and was
enough to see James run into the tens on street radial tyres.
HEMI 6 turbo into the 9s
Brad's Valiant Charger runs into the 9s for the first time at Calder Park.
The car is powered by a 265ci HEMI 6-cylinder engine and is Boosted by a Garrett GT47 turbocharger on Ethanol E85 fuel. The big Valiant
ran a best time of 9.83 at 136mph on 275 street radials. The car still
retains a Chrysler 904 trans and Borg Warner rear end.

Faraone engines 440 stroked / 512CI 1996/97 Driven to the comp this
charger here OWNING another Dyno comp.605rwhp.The Dyno operator, the crowd and
photographer were ALL used of the usual 300rwhp ...... too bad they didn't
strap this car .....wheel spin robbed 80rwhp...... As the compare said this
n/a Faraone 440 stroked to 512 made more hp then a blown alcohol burning
bb Vg valiant and summernats (WAR 440) .
Ahead of its time!! In 1998 this charger ran a best of 9.5@145mph n/a 1.6
to 60ft 3800lbs as raced with only a hand full of passe's. Moved in leafs
and a single1050 dom sucking av gas.

The Charger has now been sold but thanks for the favorable comments.
Just for clarification in response to some comments received we are fully
aware this was not a Hemi motor and never claimed it to be.As mentioned in
the video it is the decals only that follow in the style of the RT-which of
course had the Hemi motor!
Valiant VE 408ci stroker V8
Michael's Valiant VE sedan is a great example of a true old school street
driven muscle car. Powered by an all motor stroker 360/408ci Chrysler V8
engine, the car has run a best time of 11.14 in full street trim.

Not a car you see in the US that often, John Faraone's 4200lbs 572ci Twin
88mm turbo powered 1972 Valiant Charger
layed down some serious passes on Drag Week, especially the last day when
he overcame some tuning issues and broke into the 7's! We love seeing
people come from overseas to enjoy this insane event, especially when they
come from the opposite side of the world!
