Cookie gets excited! - IMS turbo Ute
Chris Cookson's Commodore SS Ute runs 10.82/133 in full street trim at
Calder Park. The Boosted stock
bottom end original 346ci LS1 is backed by a factory 6-speed manual.
Testing a prototype 9in 3-link rear end by Independent Motorsports, the car
was then driven over two hours back home to Gippsland. Making around 430kW
to the wheels on 9.5psi Boost thanks
to a Garrett T51R turbocharger, the
Holden was using E85 fuel.

Peter's naturally aspirated 355ci stroker V8 Holden powered Torana runs
into the 9.1-second zone at Calder Park.

James' 355 fuel injected Holden powered Commodore SS Ute is back at the
track for the first time using a new engine combination. The Molinari Race
Engines stroker V8 is good for 552hp/475ft.Ib naturally aspirated and was
enough to see James run into the tens on street radial tyres.

Ahead of its time!! In 1998 this charger ran a best of 9.5@145mph n/a 1.6
to 60ft 3800lbs as raced with only a hand full of passe's. Moved in leafs
and a single1050 dom sucking av gas.

Shane O'Sullivan VC Valiant V8 Chrysler 408 Stroker 10.25 PB Perth Motorplex Fast Friday 11.02.2011
It was great to see Westside Drag Racing Association Club President Shane
O'Sullivan out running a new personal best time of 10.25 at the Perth
Motorplex Fast Friday 11.02.2011, which was later followed by another 10.23
The Club Prez has been away working hard on offshore oil rigs, and it was
good to see him back at the track burning out and doing what he
loves...high speed drag racing!!
Shane's 408 cubed retro Valiant is Mopar powered, and has had EFi fitted.
Shane's PB also came about with the help from a set of custom Exhaust pipes manufactured by Dragtech
Fabrication (Rick Johns) which were fitted just prior to his new best time.
Shane reports that the time may not stand for too long however, with a new
intake manifold on the way.
Well done to all the team and people who have helped out.

Greg's Holden Monaro V8 sure got the attention of the crowd carrying the
wheels a solid 300ft out from the startline at the APSA Pro Street shootout
at Willowbank Raceway.
