John Lingenfelter Pro Stock GMC Sonoma Truck Texas Motorplex 7.44 1/4 Mile Fall 2001

These videos were made by John Lingenfelter's track crew at the Texas Motorplex in and shows John making two 1/4 mile passes. The Pro Stock Sonoma was a Summit Racing sonsored V8 358 CID Cheverolet engine rated at 985 horsepower. This truck set a speed record at the last national event of 2001 in Pomona with a run of 7.399 @ 182.75 MPH. This was the last time this truck ran with a V8 and the last Pro Stock truck race. In 2002 this truck returned with a turbocharged 2.2 L Ecotec 4 cylinder and was run in the Pro Sport Compact class.
