This was the top of the Pontiac line back in 1964. You have to admire the long, graceful lines..and the elegant simplicity of the dash! The 8 lug wheels are pieces of art! A boss of mine whose brother owned a Pontiac dealership had a hardtop version of this car...impressive, indeed!
1963 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible Blk CocoaB051912
Now THIS is a convertible! I love the all black styling theme, plenty of chrome for accent, yet it's not overdone. 389 with three two barrels netted 313 brake horsepower. Looks like aftermarket A/C was added, a good idea, especially for a black car here in Florida. One of my coworkers had one of these, brand new!
1964 Pontiac Parisienne Sport Convertible Blu
These were the days when Canadian Pontiacs were Chevrolets under the skin.
So that meant that it would probably be a 283 c.i. Chevy engine under the hood..and a Powerglide transmission. However, the look of the car was all Pontiac...similar to the U.S. Bonneville. You don't often see Canadian cars here, so I video them whenever I can!
1964 Pontiac Catalina Safari Stationwagon Blu
You want to put excitement in your driving...try this 389 c.i. tri-power with manual four on the floor! This is a real sleeper..an auction car at Zephyrhills. A/C makes it practical year round, Note the rear facing third seat, a common practice at the time. It helped eliminate the problem of getting past the second seat to get to the back, but was a trade off in that it required you to board via the tailgate. Used most likely by small children or pets...makes you wonder about the safety of that arrangement!
1960 Buick Invicta Custom Hardtop Maroon
The Invicta was slotted between the LeSabre and the luxurious Electra. Electra had a connection to the work of the ancient Greek tragedians Sophocles and Euripides...who says Detroit executives didn't read!! Invicta has the hint of invincibility...in fact, it's part of the fire ant's name! This may seem "puffery", but I believe it to be an attempt to elevate the Buick line to higher, classical levels. Behind every successful car of the time, there was an elaborate advertising campaign.
Chevy and Pontiac graveyard. Melbourne,Australia.
So many of these graveyards exist all over the world. This one from right here in Melbourne,Australia. Where in Melbourne this place is i don't know. These are all original rhd's too.All Aussie assembled and sold new here. There should be a law against this. These old analogue pics were given to my brother about 10 years ago now by an old workmate of his. The pics were already quite old back then,so much so that the guy couldn't remember where this place was. These pics are definately from the 80s and there is a red kodak stamp on the back of each photo with 'dec 85' next to it. I'm convinced that's the date they were developed.

Rare 1957 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible Fuel-Injected 347 V8 315HP
I thought you'd like a look at this extremely rare 1957 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible. 1957 was the first year for the Bonneville and it was only offered as a convertible. When it was introduced, the Bonneville was the fastest Pontiac ever produced. This Bonneville is number 116 of the only 630 produced in 1957. This is probably the finest restored example ever offered for sale. It has been treated to a correct frame-off/rotisserie restoration. Every part of this car is 100% factory correct and numbers matching. Every component was restored to as new or better condition. Most of the chrome was NOS and it all, the interior and exterior was show chrome plated. The Bonneville is painted in Kenya Ivory with a Tartan red interior. Boasts a fuel injected 347 300+hp( approximately 315 HP) V8, Hydra-Matic automatic transmission, Wonderbar AM radio, a deluxe ivory steering wheel, a padded dash, a clock, cowl vent, chrome wheel discs, and whitewall tires. It has the total power group including a power-operated convertible top, a power antenna, power steering, power brakes, power windows, and an eight-way power-operated seat. This Bonneville was judged 396 out of 400 at the Pontiac Oakland Club Nationals and has been awarded in every show it's been shown at. The 1957 Bonneville is a very rare car. This Bonneville is one of the best of its kind in the world - it is pristine museum quality. Thanks for taking a look!
