512 Road Race '67 Mustang @ Sears Point with the Shelby Club 08.30.09

My 67 Fastback Mustang during the Norcal Shelby Club Sears Point event. Changes for this event were coil over front shocks up front (mount on the top arm for now, near the UBJ, with 550lb springs), DPI Platinum Trac differential (replacing the spool), and I also removed the stock rubber bushing strut rod arms and replaced it with a strut rod that uses a rod end at the frame mount. The car actually turns much easier now! This was also the first event driven at Sears Point with my three link rear suspension. I am very pleased with each of the changes. Best time captured on video for this weekend was a high 1:47, which I am very pleased with considering the fact that this event is an Open Track event rather than a race. 512 Mustang @ SAAC Vintage Race 3 of 3
My 67 Fastback Mustang participating in the 2008 Shelby Club Vintage Exhibition Race held during the Mini-Nats celebration at Thunderhill Raceway. This is a great event that the Nor Cal Shelby Club puts on once a year, and I'm extremely happy to be a part of it. This video is in three parts due to the length of the "race".

512 Road Race 67 Mustang @ Shelby Club Mini-Nats 08/08
My 67 Fastback Mustang Again... This event was the first event with my new 3-link coil over rear suspension that I designed. It worked extremely well and I expect it'll get a tad better with a little more tuning. The front end now pushes real bad - I'm assuming this is due to the spool in the rear end. The spool worked quite well with the leaf spring suspension - but with the rear tires in better contact with the ground the car wants to continue in a straight line rather than turn in. The spool will be replaced before the next event with a Half Tight DPI platinum LSD. The miss shift between 6 and 7 was actually just an accidental shift into neutral, so the 9k peak was just a free rev. The motor should be capable of spinning near 10k with out trouble (not tested...) though it makes the most power well before that.
